I have MCAS & this is the ONLY shampoo I have found that doesn't make me breakout. It makes my hair feel clean so it's definitely effective. I have long fine hair, so I really need something light weight. There's absolutely no smell that I've noticed, & I'm sensitive to all smells. The liquid is very thin, so be careful not to let is slip out of your hands. LOL. It's definitely worth the price for me, I also use the conditioner on my roots.

I bought this for my husband, who has an extremely dry, itchy scalp. He used to constantly scratch his head and felt uncomfortable all the time. Since he started using this cleanser, the itchiness is completely gone. His scalp feels calm and comfortable, and he’s genuinely happy with the results. Gentle, effective, and truly soothing.

This is the first shampoo I’ve tried after discovering through allergy testing that I’m allergic to linalool and other common chemicals. Finding a truly minimal, fragrance-free option was a challenge, but I’m really glad I gave The Ordinary Sulphate 4% Cleanser a try. It arrived very securely packaged — sealed inside the lid, covered in external plastic, and cushioned with brown paper. There was no leaking, and the product was in perfect condition. It also has absolutely no scent, which is a huge plus for someone with sensitivities like mine. I’m primarily using it as a shampoo, and while it does clean my hair effectively, there are a few trade-offs. The texture is quite runny and it doesn’t lather or foam like traditional shampoos. Because of that, I find myself using about twice as much product as I do conditioner to feel like I’m getting full coverage. After rinsing, my hair has a squeaky-clean feel and definitely needs conditioner afterward to bring back some moisture. Overall, it’s a gentle and safe option for sensitive skin and allergy-prone individuals. I just wish it foamed more and required less product per use. Still, I’ll keep using it for the peace of mind it gives me.

If scents and most of the bubble maker ingredients give you atopic dermatitis, this is a wonderful shampoo alternative for you. I use the conditioner too. It’s as nice as my beloved but toxic to me Pureology in terms of how it treats my dyed yet oily hair. I am very happy my dermatologist suggested The Ordinary!

Nice shampoo

Decent shampoo but too harsh to use for every wash. It left my scalp very dry. Loved that it had no scent. It was also a very small bottle for the price and the shampoo was so liquid-y a lot got wasted. Probably will not buy again which is a bummer because I love products from the Ordinary.

Absolute. Freakin. Godsend. Extremely high quality, leaves my hair nice and soft and moisturised. Good value for money if you don't mind dishing out a little extra. One bottle lasts about a month and a half of washing my hair 3-4 times a week.

I love this. It's not fancy and doesn't foam alot, but does the job. It worked perfectly on a reent trip in my campervan when I needed to be reserved with water while washing my hair. Despite not foaming much, and therefore being easy to wash out, it left my hair soft and glossy.
