Love Everlasting Volume 1

Just an absolute banger
Tom King is one of the modern great, and this is further proof of that

Dull and repetitive postmodern riff on 70s romance comics
Tom King wrote my favourite series of 23, The Human Target, a thrilling pulp noir with real emotion, a murder mystery in the grand noir tradition, using old DC superheroes. Absolute beautiful. Get it now. Preferably instead of this. This consists of a series of spoof old school romance comic stories, masking a metanarrative of a character trying to escape her plot lines. Intriguing idea, nicely drawn. Dull. Repetitive. And honestly, satirising outdated romance ideas that no-one follows now, if they ever did, makes King seem totally out of touch, desperately trying to be Alan Moore. Total misfire. ( I hope Volume 2 pulls something out of the bag, and King is talented, but this is by a long chalk the worst thing of his I've read..
