Good bulbs — wider than standard
My original bulbs weren't marked so I think they were probably 60 watt as they are probably about 50% brighter than these. I only mention this as I'm including pictures and wanted to account for the difference in brightness.Having said that, good packaging. I just received and installed today. The clear cover has a little jiggle to it but none of covers on the four I installed came loose or off during installation and I had to really force them into the sockets. And that's the only trouble I've had so far. In fact, the only reason I dropped a star is because they are wider than standard G9 bulbs I had replaced (see pictures). One of the four sockets wouldn't accept and fully seat the bulb so it may pop out. If it does, I'm dropping off another star or two.Another problem with it being wider is that if you replace these with standard G9 bulbs (or if future G9 LEDs are narrower), the socket won't fit them properly because they can bend open too much: because the LED bulb was wider, when I pulled it out and put in the standard G9 bulb, the standard bulb sat loose in the socket and didn't make contact very well. I had to bend the bottom pins and wiggle it around until it made contact and lit — minor vibrations caused it to lose contact and go out.I do like these bulbs and as long as they give the life they claim and is typical with LEDs, I'll be satisfied. Hindsight being 20/20, I'd probably have bought a 60 watt equivalent, but I can live with these for now. Either way, I'm using 16 watts instead of 240 and they run substantially cooler.(pictures of lit LED bulbs may look weird and cause banding because the iPhone camera shutter speed is a little out of sync with the LED refresh rate — you don't get that problem with traditional incandescent/halogen 'analog' bulbs...something to consider for photography, I suppose.)

Great LEDs for the price!!
So far so good with these bulbs. We replaced all of our light fixtures around the house with these, which were halogen before, and i’m confident they are saving us money on our electric bill. They are super super white with no yellow hint. You either love it or hate it, maybe it’s something you have to get used to. We love them. It’s sharp, crisp and white. I do have to say though, it’s not as bright as our old halogen bulbs. The living room seems a little dimmer overall with these now but it’s ok. I can’t believe the deal we got with these. 2 were duds and didn’t light up because of the glue that went over the metal part. We were able to remove it. You have to expected for 1 or 2 not to work anyways since it’s a mass production and quality might not be top notch. Overall, happy with these and got compliments from guests.

Not a 60W halogen equivalent. Not even close.
I ordered these to replace 60W halogen bulbs in a bathroom fixture. Instead of buying more halogen bulbs after one went out, I planned to replace that one with an LED bulb and then run the rest until they each burnt out. When I installed this bulb, I thought it was faulty at first, because the fixture still appeared to have a burnt-out bulb. After checking however, the LED bulb was working but the light emission was so low that it appeared out. I tried three bulbs from the pack, and they all behaved the same way.I suppose this would be a good purchase if you are looking for a cheap solution for a fixture with low-lighting needs. Just don't expect the specified brightness.

Not satisfied
Three issues with this purchase:#1 - To my eye the color has a definite greenish hue to it. I personally find that objectionable. Others may like it.#2 - One of my objectives was more light. I was replacing 400 lm bulbs with these 550 lm bulbs. I see them as at best the same and maybe a bit dimmer.#3 - One of the 12 flickers.I plan on returning this purchase and trying something else.

Works great for me, perfect for my application.
I bought these bulbs to replace a set of G9 LED bulbs I purchased about 6 years ago. The old bulbs were starting to fail, at a rate of one a week, and considering how much the lights are used, I think I got a good deal originally. These bulbs are brighter, somewhat smaller and work even better for my need. I installed 9 of the bulbs at the same time, and I'm amazed at how much better they look than the old version. At 6 watts each versus 60 watts (for the original halogen,) I know I'm saving a lot in electrical costs as well. The tone of the light is exactly what I wanted as well... I can't stand "yellow" or cool white lighting. These are daylight white without any blue tint.I had no problem installing the bulbs. they fit perfectly into the G9 sockets. I would definitely buy these again, and recommend them to anyone looking for a G9 LED replacement bulb.

WAY BIG - Their size comparison picture is deceiptful
I am very disappointed with the picture provided by the seller. The image and the measurements are technically correct, but the bulbs are not vertically aligned at the bottom for height comparison which is what the picture is for. Close examination reveals that the bulb images are vertically centered which creates the appearance that they are closer in size than they actually are. I am not the only one complaining because the bulb would not fit. Look at my picture showing the 4 watt bulbs next to a normal bulb. The bulbs are bottom aligned. It is truthful for visual height comparison. Also, beware that this bulb has a square top, making it even more difficult to fit into a tight space.

Color was nice. 5 out of the 6 lights worked
Not brighter then the 40 W halogen it replaced. Might have to go 9 W to be the same. Color was nice. 5 out of the 6 lights worked. One didn't want to sit properly in the light fixture so flickered. My biggest issue is my vanity light fixture above my mirror has the bulb sitting upright, thus there is not enough light emitting to the vanity counter. However my ceiling was very bright. this is due to the bottom of the bulbs are not clear and light is blocked from the white plastics in the bulb. And the bulbs are not marked with the wattage so not sure if they are even the ones I ordered. If you purchase these make sure you up the wattage and your fixtures are not aiming up with the bulb or you will loose light. They would easily have replaced the one not working however I chose to return them because of my fixture.

Many Lights dying after 5 months
UPDATE:These bulbs started off strong; no duds and saved me tons of money on electricity. Now 5 months in, it's almost like they are on a timer to start dying. I bought 24 in total and now I am running around lesser used fixtures to rob their bulbs to replace dead ones. I have had 8 in total slowly dim over a couple days to almost nothing. You can see in the photo I attached is my bathroom fixture with three bulbs of all differing brightness. That was taken a day ago and they are all now as dim as the center one.No dimmers were used, no funny business - just regular G9 fixtures that turn on and off. It's a huge bummer because they had so much potential but I would not recommend purchasing for $50/pack of 12.

Not compatible with existing G9 filament lamps
Out of the box none of the bulbs worked. They were exactly the same G9 as my fiĺament lamps but the contact pins were about 2mm shorter and guess that there is no contact with the socket pin. Will call customer service to check.

6w LED 3000k for crystal chandelier
Originally purchased the 3w frosted 6000k LED. It was too crisp of a white that had a blue tone. Felt too institutional and made the room noticeably darker, even with 7 bulbs in my chandelier. Read some reviews and opted to change to the 6w 3000k bulb (non-frosted). It's got the yellow tone but room is much brighter. Bulbs have a size differential but didn't matter as the socket points downward.EDIT: 7 months later and the lights are still going. Still wish there was a bulb that was a happy medium between yellow and crisp blue/white.

bright light, perfect colour
These work great in my crystal Costco chandelier. I put 4 6W g9 bulbs in and it is more than bright enough in my hallway. They are slightly brighter than the existing halogen bulbs. I originally ordered the 4W daylight white and returned them because they were not bright enough and they were too "white" in colour. These "soft white" bulbs give off a warmer yellow white similar to an incandescent bulb and are easier on the eyes. Extremely happy with my purchase. I have not tested all 12 bulbs yet, but I will ensure to do so very soon to make sure I did not receive any faulty bulbs.

One bulb has died about 6 months in
They're bright, works well, when it works. One of my bulb has died in my set of 6.They rarely gets used since installed about 6 months ago, only recent month started to use them. They're used in my bathroom, so not on for long periods of time.I may have to just take another bulb out, so the two sets of 3 lights will look balanced with one light out.Not going to bother ordering another set of 6 just to replace the one bulb.Hopefully the other ones will last.
