I needed a HDMI adapter for my blue gateway laptop because it has a mini HDMI port so I'm disappointed in myself for not checking the ports when I got the laptop but hey, it's a space saver and lightweight. Product came as estimated and quality is very good & feels durable. I think it's made with steel or aluminum around the connectors which is great and hope it will last as long or longer than the laptop. Or that I'll put it to use on another electronic device.

Perfect for my needs! I had my server's graphic's card that was HDMI and needed an adapter to connect it to my HDMI Mini Portable Monitor. This adapter plus another to the rescue! Hooking up the "DTech DVI Female to HDMI Male Adapter Bi-Directiona" DVI adapter to my DVI cable then this HDMI Mini adapter did the trick! I previously used the "Cmple - Mini HDMI Male to HDMI Female Adapter Compatible for TV, Monitors" one that broke on the first use. This one held strong after my initial testing. Now I can use the DVI cable I have hooked up to my server and not need to take the heavy computer down from the shelf I have it on and hook it up to my portable monitor if I ever need to. Super happy I found this solution.

This cable feels very well built and works as expected. It is a little bit stiff compared to other similar cables, but it still does the job. I have come to trust this brand after owning a few other products by them, and this cable was exactly what I needed for a good price. If the cable was a little more flexible it would be a perfect 5 stars, but because of the stiffness and the relatively short length, the cable does tend to pull on my HDMI mini port on my device when using it.

When I purchased a new, thin, light, laptop to take on trips, I didn't think about this problem. After going to dinner, I returned to the motel to watch a movie on the laptop. I dug out my HDMI cable, found an open HDMI socket on the motel TV and plugged it in. I went to plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the laptop and discovered that wasn't going to work as the laptop had a mini HDMI plug. So I went on to Amazon, found this adapter, ordered it as a gift sent to my friend in the city I was headed for. It arrived the day after I arrived there. It worked fine at my friends house and at the same motel on my way home. This is much more convenient than having a second cable, and cheaper. Recommended!

The adapter is good for my display.

Works great. I had been using a three-way molded adapter, but it always seemed to be pointing in the wrong direction and the monitor cable was putting strain on the laptop connection. With this adapter cable, that problem is eliminated. It's easy to store in the laptop bag, or leave on the monitor cable, ready for the next use.
