Birds love it ❤️
Good seed for bird feeder in winter to give the feathered friends some food and give myself entertainment watching them. Great value for the money! Birds love it!

Beautiful seed quality
A huge shout out from our wild birds! The Chickens clean up under feeder. This seed variety is my birds favorite in the winder here in Washington. The seed is exceptionally clean, and good quality. So we're all good! Kaytee has many variations of seed, that can match up with the birds in your area.

Listen for loose seeds before you open the box
I've ordered this twice, and the first bag arrived in pristine condition. The second bag had a cut in it and some seed spilled into the box. It was a nice, clean cut that looked like it was done with a knife. Seed was still fresh. I keep the seed in a container with a handle and pour spout designed for bird seed. Because I could hear the seed moving around in the box, I opted to open it outside on the deck. Given how large the cut was and how tiny these seeds are, I was surprised more hadn't spilled out. I dumped the loose seed from the box outside and had no indoor mess to worry about. Finches love this food. It took about 5 days for the new tube feeder filled with finch seed to gain popularity. Sometimes sparrows visit, but they prefer the other feeder that has a songbird blend in it. Mourning doves eat fallen seed. A tufted titmouse was interested but was not comfortable approaching a feeder with a lot of other birds. A red-winged blackbird ate this seed, which was a surprise to me. I knew they were common in the area, but have never seen them in my yard, and I offer a pretty good variety of food at my main feeding station. Finch blends are expensive compared to other bird seed, pound for pound, but it gets used up more slowly. Suet cakes are gone in a couple of hours. My 2 lb hopper gets emptied in a day. My tube feeder gets emptied more slowly, because the starlings and squirrels leave it alone (so far). It's spring, so there are lots of juvenile critters and birds, and they're hungry. This at least gives the little birds an alternative when my other feeders are overrun.

Birds love this
Birds come to my window to eat and they seem to love this. I tried 3-4 different blends and this is loved the most. I think I will stick to this blend for the birds.

This food sprouts on the ground 😩
WARNING: This finch food sprouts on the ground. What a mess under the bird feeder. I had to pull out all the little seedlings. Don’t need another job. Looking for a different food.
