Great little RC
This is a great little truck, where to begin. Runs fantastic out of the box, it is a little top/front heavy out of the box but still a great crawler. lights are controlled by the remote, has a break system, has trim settings for the breaking. lots of upgrades available on the market. I didn't want to spend a ton, the point was to have a cheap rc crawler. What a did do was buy an extra battery, some sand rails, tow hitch, and upgraded shocks. The two speed transmission is absolutely awesome, in low this thing has great control and crazy torque, and with the flip of a switch you can race around at pretty surprising speed. it does flip at top speed if you turn to hard, you need to remember it is designed to be a crawler. Would recommend

Update after an abusive 6 months of use :D
The media could not be loaded. An impressive little Hobby Grade crawler. Hobby grade mean everything on this RC can be replaced when broken or upgraded. This rc have 2 speed mode. 1 for crawling: slow speed with high torque. 2 for speed: Higher speed with lower torque. Best of both worlds! Again, performance is pretty impressive but it definitely have a few flaws! If you want a little more run time on these you need to get the “7.4v 600mah 2S” battery. With that it will bump the playtime from 15 to 30 mins. The stock shocks sucks. It get stuck and sticky from time to time. I recommend an after market shock! Something like “injora” would work a whole lot better.Better wheels and tires are definitely recommend. Specifically a “deep dish” wheel and a much fatter tire. After 6 months of everyday abuse because I love this thing so much. I broke:-The servo: the power cable for the stock servo is short and constantly stretching everytime I picked up the rc to put it away. It broke after 3 months. I bought the “FMS smasher” servo to replace it and it have a much longer power cable.-Shocks: but that broke since I got the unit so I’m assuming a lot of them are like that.-Front axle: got snapped when I drove it in the snow. Bought a replacement part. And running good again.-Headlights: the adapter that connect to the main control board is pretty fragile everytime I try to take the hard body off but I didn’t really care for the headlights because I don’t normally turn it on.Despite all of that I am a happy camper with little RC. Pretty durable. I’ve just been abused it a lot but if you just starting out with a crawler RC this is a perfect choice despite all the flaws that mentioned. These are the flaws that I noticed as I start to upgrade my RC. For a normal person they wouldn’t even notice it.Tips: if you want to work with your RC you pups definitely need a forceps (sells in hobby lobby) to pop out the ball joins around the shocks and a Samix FCX24 2-in-1 Hex Wrench/Nut Driver. To take off parts and wheel nuts on the RC. If you planning to do any mods or upgrades you will need to buy a box of M2 hex screw9.5/10 would definitely definitely recommend! :))

Capable RTR crawler loaded with great features!
**UPDATED** I am revisiting my review after FMS corrected all of the issues I was experiencing. I stripped the portal gears out very quickly and they immediately replaced my unit with metal gears. My other issues were user error. Very satisfied!I am reviewing this item through the lens of a long-time SCX24 enthusiast. Much of my review will be based on my experiences with that model compared to the new FCX24. With that said, I am very impressed with the FCX24!What I like: out of the box features like the portal axles, two-speed gearbox, beadlock wheels, and hard body are fantastic. The portal axles in particular allowed this little crawler to take on challenging, rocky terrain with ease. The extra ground clearance makes for a very positive crawling experience. The two-speed gear box is fantastic. Shifting on the fly with the remote is smooth and quick, and in the higher gear, this thing is FAST! My son absolutely loved it and was laughing hysterically making it do wheelies and jumps. The lower gear has slow speed control that borderlines on brushless capability. Very impressive. This thing is also wider than an scx24 by a significant margin, making it less tippy out of the box which makes for a more enjoyable driving experience. The metal geared servo is strong and allowed for precise steering under a variety of stressful situations. What I don't like: I question the fit and finish on some parts. The roll cage broke within five minutes of use. I was climbing around my office and it rolled over off of my shoe and broke the cage. My son broke the snorkel off before he got it out of the yard. Granted, he's four and isn't exactly easy on things. The hard body is great, but removing it to access the battery and electronics is (I find) quite difficult. I have a hard time getting my fingers in position to release the body clips. In conclusion, I really like the FCX24 and was quite impressed with its capabilities out of the box. I would recommend it to anyone looking to get into the micro crawler world. I wish it had sturdier materials in some areas, but that's a tradeoff I am willing to accept for the awesome powertrain that this thing has. I'm looking forward to customizing it and trying it out in a variety of different terrains to see how it does!

Great RTR power wagon
This really was an excellent choice for a first time crawler here. Always wanted the larger 1/10th scale atlas but starting off I'm super impressed. Plenty of upgrades available and the truck is just beautiful out of the box. Plenty of power and loving the 2 selectable speeds. Turns on a dime! Get this and you will NOT be disappointed 💕
