Ordered Thursday, arrived Friday. Followed advice for size. I am 5'10" & 154lbs. L for me. Perfect fit with fleece underneath. I'll need that come September! Looks very well put together. An excellent sturdy zip, the weak spot in a lot of wax kit. Pockets well placed with high on the chest hand warming pockets. Good size square pockets for 'dog stuff.' Phone pocket on the inside. Altogether an excellent product fit for purpose and exactly as described. Good value at a very competetive price. UK made a huge plus.

I wanted a waxed gilet, for walking the dog etc. I read through the remarks to get the correct size. I am 5'-9, and 15 st. I decided on 3XL. I tried it on with a shirt, and jumper, and it fits perfectly. Not snug, just right. As I have a Barbour waxed jacket, I thought maybe for the price, this would be a bit sub standard, but no. It's well made, and I would definitely recommend. In fact, I bought the one in brown, and I shall go back, and buy it in blue.

I am a dog walker by trade, and I need a comfortable Gilet style waistcoat with which to store essential items of my kit - keys, dog waste bags, dog treats, wallet, etc. This Gilet is not only excellent value for money, it is also very comfortable and in its own way. quite stylish. It has two button down patch pockets - spacious, two breast pockets, plus an inside pocket for vaulables.The outer fabric is waxed, making it water-resistant, and the padded fabric also thick enough to offer some protection from the wind. It is well-made, with no loose threads, and I have owned and worn it for several weeks, and it has kept its shape and its smart looks. Very impressed with it, all in all, and happy to recommend.

I’m a photographer, out in all UK weather. Sometimes its wet, but too warm for my full-on Barbour jacket but not warm enough for lightweight summer gilet. This fulfils the space. Would have been nice if inside pocket had zip for security, otherwise a quality product at very good price.

Does the job if you're a utilitarian person. Very warm. If you're buying for appearances, it might not be for you, because the poppered storm flap isn't centred. See image. When the zip is visible, you can see the pockets are equally spaced from the zip. However, when the storm flap is poppered up, the pockets appear to be askew. That's because the left and right panels of the gilet are the same size and the flap has been sewn onto the edge of one of them, rather than being inset by perhaps a centimetre to ensure the garment is symmetrical when it's done up. In fairness to the retailer, the Amazon pictures show this and lots of items in this price range display the same thing. However if you aren't expecting to have to look for that when shopping around, you could easily miss it, as I did. The price is pretty good and it might not bother you, but I reckon once you've seen it you'll always see it.

Bought for my son who is 6ft tall, and a slim 13 stone who usually wears a large but ordered a medium as recommended from the sizing guide and it fits perfectly. Lovely quality, looks and feels more expensive. Waterproof and windproof as described. Pockets are very useful especially the inner one to secure wallet or phone.

I bought this as a less expensive alternative to a Barbour vest! The pros are it’s well made and warm, it looks great, and is comfortable. The only slight con is its touch blousey. But not too much. I did have my tailor alter it a bit to make it a bit more fitted! I did wash and dry it which made it a better fit as well however you’ll need to re wax it if you go this route. I have waxed several jackets and vests and I understand the process which isn’t hard at all but a bit of a process. Again not bad though. The vest fits incredibly well now and is again an excellent option to Barbour! For way less! I love Barbour but the price point can be daunting. I’ve even had someone ask if it’s a Barbour. There are several colors and I’ll likely get the OD green one as well! I found this vest fairly true to size but had ordered the XL initially because of reviews saying it ran small. I didn’t find that to be the case and returned the XL for my usual Large. Again though I like things more fitted so I had it altered. That said it’s a great vest!

taille comme espérée, top qualité de toile et de "waxing" et détail pratique enfin une fermeture éclair à double ouverture, ce qui permet d'être à l'aise dans le bas du gilet . la très légère matelassure est suffisante pour le confort thermique mais ne "boudine" pas le vêtement .vraiment entièrement satisfait . sans aucune réserve.
