Great for mums. Gluten free thins work too.
I don’t know why some reviewers say gluten free bread doesn’t work. I tried the Warburtons gluten free thins (with banana and nutella), 5-10 min in the airfryer (yes of course without the actual plastic Crimpit as it would melt). Yum. Sealed well at the edges too. I don’t keep breads in the fridge which might make the difference here? I also made my kid’s sandwiches (not toasted) today as she always leaves her crusts. I made these with our regular sliced half/half factory bread. A bit of ham with wiped cucumber (with kitchen roll to dry some of the juice off to stop sogginess) and another one with ham and a bit of lettuce. Crimped in seconds and the crusts came right off. (I might start collecting those in the freezer to make breadcrumbs now that I am dealing with clean crusts lol). I pressed the bread a bit flat with a spoon first to make it thinner which took all of a second. Neat little pocket of sandwich which then slotted nicely in those reusable silicone ziplock food pouches. Eco points for mum on two counts! (Except of course for buying a plastic gadget in the first place but not throwing crusts out every day and not using foil or plastic wrap should hopefully all help over time). We’ll see if she likes the taste but I am looking forward to receiving her lunchbag without the usual nibbled crusts today! All in all highly recommended for mums, and people who are bored of gluten free sandwiches. I agree the price is very high for a bit of plastic but I guess that’s what you get if you buy the latest gadget craze. It’s very sturdy but could/should be half the price.

Superb kitchen gadget for toasted or normal sandwiches
This is a brilliant little gadget. Very easy and quick to make a filled sandwich using bread 'thins' which can either be eaten as cold sandwiches or toasted sandwiches. The sandwiches (not the gadget!) can be toasted, grilled, dry fried or used in an air fryer to heat. Perfect to make sealed sandwiches for packed lunches. Has it's own facebook page with many recipes, tips and hints on uses. Can use pastry to make small pie parcels, or other types of bread. Easy to use and clean, crimps the edges to make a 'parcel' and by using a toaster or dry fry etc for toasted sandwiches, no messy items to wash up. Highly recommend.

Great gadget
I love this gadget It states thins but used seeded wholemeal bread and just cut to shape - wasted some bread but still works out cheaper than thins and can use my favourite bread I just pressed it firmly into the mould so it wasn’t too thick -same as pressing pastry into the edge of a pie dish I suppose - put my filling in I used cheese and tomato but I’m gonna try other things when I’ve been shopping - easy to use and works - just the price let’s it down really as I think it’s a tad expensive for what it is

Not just for hot food
I saw this and thought this could solve a problem I have with my sarnies (a sandwich for those who don’t know a what a sarnie is) Obviously it’s being used for air fryers, grills, frying pans and toasters but I use it just to keep my fillings in my sarnie! My problem is I like a loaded sarnie and everything falls out the side when I pick it up. Not anymore! Pop in a piece of Hovis extra thick white bread, pop in the filling (in my case cheese and onion), pop on the top piece and CRIMPiT ! Wow what a result - all my fillings stay in the sarnie - it’s that easy. I have tried toasting various sarnies - cheese and ham, tuna mayo, chocolate and banana - they all come out pretty good, but I like a cold sarnie and this is ideal. It looks cheap, but it’s well made and crimps the bread really well - just don’t waste your money on those actual thin bread things - they’re mad expensive and never in stock.

My Crimp-It melted in the air fryer?!
I made a ham, cheese and tomato sandwich with a slim bread roll ('Slimster') this evening, My second attempt. Yesterday I did the same, and used my Ninja food to airfry art for 5 mins at 200DegC. It was toasted on the outside and still a bit cold in the inside. Today, I repeated the recipe. I should note that the sandwich was about 50% too thick for the Crimp-IT, so it didn't crimp, or close down properly but that was ok. I was using it to hold the thing together. So I popped it into the same air fryer for 7 minutes this time. Imagine my surprise when I saw that the yellow top of the Crimp-It was bubbling like cheese under a grill? Ans the black bottom part was softened and a bot crumpled on the air fryer bottom part. So is it not suitable for an airfryer then? Only suitable for a 3 minute blast of heat in a toaster? Hmmm. I don't think it will get a third use now it's broken. Caveat emporium. The toastie was nice though.

Easy to use
Easy to use but not the best seal. Easy clean and dishwasher safe. The size is not great but for the price and use it’s great.

Impressive Snack Maker
I was a little sceptical about this when I ordered it, but I thought it was worth the risk for the price. I had stated by looking at toastie makers of various types when I saw this. It is considerably smaller and easier to store than the other devices and it turns out it is incredibly easy to clean. As you use thins, the toasties are less ‘bready’ and are smaller and should be a bit healthier. I was a little nervous about putting the crimped sandwiches in the toaster, but I need not have worried. They have turned out fine and no leaks. I’m just starting to experiment with new flavours and it’s early days, but I have been impressed with the sturdiness of the product and expect it will be a good long-term addition to our kitchen.

Love this item. Use it a lot. Very easy with a lot of recipes.

Not what I expected as I thought it was one of those microwave toasters. However it works really well to make your thins into a little parcel which then fits in your toaster or sandwich press. Take it to work every day, I make up my cheese and vegemite sandwich, pop it in the crimpit in a lunch bag all ready for later.

This is a GREAT tool. I use it almost every day! You can make a dessert type sandwich, like this one with peanut butter, honey, whipped cream and chocolate, or a lunch sandwich or breakfast. I use the toaster. It's fast and easy!

I had been looking for a sandwich maker for myself and all the ones that were 'on special' were family sized ones with 4 spaces and I'd only ever use one really just for myself. When I saw the adds for Crimp it I thought why not? I've been using 'thins' instead of bread for quite a while and I could use my thins with Crimp it. So I ordered it from Amazon Australia, was delivered very quickly like most products on the Amazon app. Talk about magic the Crimpit seals the bread together easily, then I just pop it in the toaster and then up it pops when done, I did have to turn the toaster down slightly, my normal, savoury, toasty was so good and cooked perfectly I thought I'd try a sweet one so I made one with half a banana and chocolate spread and WOW again sealed perfectly, cooked perfectly and tasted yum with the crunch on the outside and soft chocolatey banana inside. I will be making that one again for desert. I have used it just about every day since I got it and am delighted to say I think it's the best buy I've made in a while.
