Chakir Turkish Linens Checkered Pattern Turkish Cotton White Bath Towel (Set of 4)

The towels are very nice looking. They washed easily and didn't shed too much. I did soak them for over 24 hours in a water & vinegar mixture, and then ran them through the wash and then through a very slow air dry cycle to get as much fuzz as possible. It worked well, they don't shed onto your skin after that. They're nice and thick, but not overly heavy. They are soft, and very absorbent. They dry pretty fast, but I live in a quite humid area and so a towel fully drying in 8-12 hours is pretty much unheard of. These come close, though. The color is as pictured and the nice decorative element is pretty without weakening the towels.

I washed them and soaked them per instructions. I really like the weight of these towels. They are not super heavy and in my opinion just right.I have not washed them over months yet- but so far I believe it is a good product at a nice price point.

I put these out for use right after the first wash. I was immediately struck by how plush and soft they felt. But when I first used them after a shower I was a bit unhappy. They didn't feel very absorbant. Felt like the water was just being pushed around on my skin and not absorbed. It was an interesting feeling (and not at all unpleasant) but I just didn't feel that the water was being absorbed.Now, after a 1/2 dozen uses and wash cycles they're doing great. Still soft (maybe slightly less plush, though I haven't found an unusual amount of lint in the dryer) and very absorbant. I consider this a great purchase and I'll buy them again when these wear out.

Excellent, heavy, hotel-quality towels at an excellent value. I have absolutely no complaints and will definitely order more sets. One note: you DO need to PREP these by washing on your machine's hottest setting, and drying to completely dry (cleaning the lint trap several times). This removes the natural oils from the fibers and all the excess fluff and makes them max absorbent and soft.

The towels are not as plush as described. First wash was with vinegar to remove factory coating. Used baking soda in the rinse cycle. We use a water softener, and these towels are just not that soft, and don't have much loft. Supima Cotton seems to be a better quality, but costs more. However, I would say that they are worth the $10 per towel. If you want a really soft towel, I would recommend keep looking. Will have to pay more. This towels will probably be returned.

I wondered if reviews came from real buyers, I would say, not. I wanted large, soft, fluffy towels. They are none of the above. So much for reviews.

These are really nice. I was worried when I first got them because they felt really rough. After washing them and drying them they became much softer and now I always make sure one of these is clean. Like other people said, the first few times you dry them, make sure you stop the dryer part way through and empty the lint trap. They do give off quite a bit of fuzz. Overall definitely worth buying.

If you are looking for thick, soft towels that dry quickly, look no further. After doing my research between Turkish and Egyptian cotton, I decided to go with Turkish because even though they might not be as soft as Egyptian, they dry quicker which will help prevent mildew. My wife and I absolutely love the towels and they are plenty thick and soft enough for us. I would highly recommend them and am glad I listened to the other favorable reviews. I would give 5 stars but only gave 4 because out of the 12 towels we purchased, 2 of them had threads that were pulled from the body of the towel. Normally I would just get a pair of scissors and cut the thread but since we spent a little bit of money on high quality towels, I expect them to be perfect. I will be returning those two for an exchange but other than that issue, these towels are great and 5 star worthy.
