Hmm, I’ve been using this shampoo and conditioner set for three weeks now. I feel like it does neutralize some brassiness in the hair, but I definitely have to use it daily. If I don’t use it for a few washes, I can clearly see that my hair turns a darker, more yellow shade of blonde. The downside to the shampoo is that you actually have to use quite a bit for it to lather well and cover all your hair. I guess I can’t really see any difference with the conditioner. At this point, I’m still not sure how much conditioner I should be using since I can’t see where it’s covering my hair once I apply it (the purple color diminishes instantly). You definitely need some type of serum for the hair post-wash because although this set doesn’t strip your hair dry completely, it doesn’t moisturize it very well either. And no, this does not turn your hair purple nor does it stain your skin. However, since I barely bleached my hair three weeks ago, perhaps it’s still too early to tell how well this set controls brassiness. I’ll have to update this review once I finish the set (I suspect in a month or two). —— UPDATE (1.5 month of using later): Okay, so I was mixing this shampoo with my regular color-safe shampoo. I noticed it wasn’t controlling the yellow mess very well - I was starting to doubt this set. But then I started using it by itself for the last three days - HOLY! My routine is that I’ll use some of this and lather my hair up, then add some more of this shampoo a second time to make sure it REALLY lathers. Then I’d leave this on for 2-3 minutes. So like, after three days of washing daily with this set by ITSELF, my hair went from turning an ugly orange/yellow color to MORE PLATINUM. Like wow! Please do use this set by itself and leave it in for at least 2-3 minutes for three days - you will see a DRASTIC a difference. I could see the difference right away when my hair was wet over the 3 days. THIS SET WORKSSSS! The picture with the curled hair is right after I spent $400 dyeing my hair. Which was on April 27, 2018. The picture with the Snapchat filter was taken today - June 4, 2018. Between these two times, my hair gradually turned more brassy until I started using this shampoo by itself (I never took pic sorry). And it still doesn’t stain my hands or skin if some of you were wondering.

Love, LOVE! I have been using this product for at least 2 years and can tell you that my highlights are never brassy and look as good as the day I had them done. My hair is very fine, thin and lifeless. It is a dark, dirty dishwater brown naturally. Foil highlights give some volume and brightness to my hair but to maintain between appointments, requires a QUALITY purple shampoo and conditioner. This product GIVES my hair volume, maintains my color and yes, the most reasonably priced for this level of quality. Oh, I need to let you know that it is very concentrated and lasts a long, long time. When I say product, I mean both the shampoo and conditioner. There is no better value out there and no better way to manage my color. Believe me, I have tried them all for the last 30 years so I KNOW what I am talking about. To top it off, the customer service is excellent. You cannot go wrong purchasing this product.

Some people complained about the lack of scent and the stains it leaves on the creases of your fingernails after you use it but it obviously won't be loaded with artificial fragrance since it focuses on mostly natural ingredients. Regardless, there is a subtle, pleasant scent to it. Also the stains are natural because it's a highly concentrated blue shampoo - which means that it's effective in doing its job in neutralizing copper tones. The stains aren't deep and they fade super quick. Overall, good product that is more eco-friendly than most blue shampoos. FYI - the conditioner conditions well but you do need to use more than "quarter-size"

. I was looking for a purple shampoo and conditioner to help preserve my purple coloring under my hair. Kept seeing the shampoo but without the conditioner. Saw the reviews on here and gave it a whirl. My purple coloring has lasted a lot longer then when I did not use this. On top of that, it smells wonderful and makes my hair super soft. The only downside I have seen so far, is that I have to use more shampoo then what the directions call for. It does not affect my natural hair color in any way except maybe bringing out more highlights. I will definitely get this again.

Disclaimer: I have psoriasis and a history of allergic reactions to shampoos and conditioners. The good: This is an excellent purple shampoo and conditioner. It's more intensely pigmented than other drugstore brands does a great job at eliminating brassiness in my naturally blonde hair. The shampoo cleanses the scalp and hair of product very well, which some sulfate free shampoo don't do. The conditioner is moisturizing without being too heavy and weighing my curls down. I really wanted this set to work, but after trying for months I just make it. The bad: This set may not be good fit for someone with product sensitivities. As stated earlier I've had allergic to several haircare products. I still haven't pinpointed a specific ingredient that I think may be causing it. When I first started using the shampoo and conditioner I noticed my scalp was a little itchier than normal. After several weeks it became more intense. Then, after a few months, my scalp started flaking and turning red. I was also noticing increased shedding. I decided to stop using both the shampoo and conditioner, and within the week my scalp stopped itchy and flaking. I don't think this is an ArtNaturals problem. I believe this is my own unique sensitivities. But these products may not work well for someone with similar issues.

This is an expensive shampoo, but I think is good, my gray heir hasn't gone yellowish, so I think it most be doing it's job
