I purchased the DRAGON RIOT Premium Butcher Breaking Knife for carving our Thanksgiving turkey. It did an okay job of cutting through the white meat and a better job of cutting through the dark meat. I've also used it to cut through raw meat. This knife cuts through raw might like its butter! I live the handle because it is easy and comfortable to hold. It came in a lovely box -- nice enough to give as a gift. Overall, this is a pretty good knife.

Was very sharp and the right size. I use it to cut my own meat like a whole ribeye roast and wife uses it for other cuts. It stays pretty sharp and all you need on the carnivore diet!

First, I should have paid more attention to review photos. It's kind of odd that the knife has "Menwiththepot" on the blade and none of the official product photos show this.Blade was not sharp. You could feel a burr on it and see where it was likely ground/honed by hand. The angle for the edge changes from the heel to the toe. About 15 minutes to clean it up with stones and a steel. Quite sharp now, though only time will tell how it lasts.For the price, I'm OK with it. It should work fine on deer and similar tasks, and this way the expensive Wuesthof, Henckels, etc can stay in the kitchen. At this price, if it doesn't last, or gets damaged, I won't cry about it.Overall, bit of a gamble it seems if you get one that's sharp. Mine was not, but I have the tools and skills to fix that. If you want a super sharp knife out of the box, it might be, might not.UPDATE: company reached out to me about the product. Offered to send a replacement. The new knife is much better. The bevel was consistent, reasonably sharp (I still honed it but did not need to re-grind)replacement is more in line with what I'd expect for this knife. half the cost of many of the others and quite functional.

Solid good knife

I disliked the fact that product description states it's a butcher knife. The knife is New. The knife is not sharp enough for a New Butcher knife. I shouldn't have to sharpen a new knife.

I know it was not very costly, but I can't cut more than a steak or two without having to re-sharpen this knife. I really would not buy a cheap knife like this again. I was wanting it to cut steaks from whole beef loins. It is not at all adequate and I regret buying this knife.
