I use this cam for the front since my car does not have parking assist at the front. I connected easily through the licence plate, you see no wires, and if needed to disconnect you can reach it easily. Connected directly to the 12V battery, and works great! It will not drain the battery because it draws a small amount of current. If you do not use the car for a long time use a charger to maintain the battery, and disconnect the cam! great cam very happy.

Easy to install. Wi-Fi connection is poor. Keeps asking to confirm. Going back to Wi-Fi set up and back to your cell phone is not ok.
