I bought this for my wife, she is intermediate level piano player. She has not used all the features yet. But she loves it, produces good sound.

Very rarely does a product exceed my expectations. I have a high bar but my 12yr old son and I did our homework in comparing this to the Yamahas and I can say we are VERY pleased. My son plays it every day when he gets home from school, giving him a great post-school creative outlet and filling the house with good tunes due to the 40W speakers (way better than the equivalent Yamaha competing product). He also uses his iPad for midi out direct into Garage Band and can make really cool music controlling all the other instruments in the DAW, due to the USB out. There a reason you see Yamahas for sale way more than used Kawai's on Facebook Marketplace because people obviously tend to keep these! He's 12yrs old now and he will likely take this to college with him :)

Love it! I grew up on acoustic and I've always had a thing against digital pianos since they're not "the real deal" but the quality has improved a lot in the last 10 years. This piano sounds as you want it to, I like all the tuning and concerto styles so it's more customizable. I'm intermediate so I NEED weighted keys and this one hit the mark. The fact I can play it late nights too without interrupting neighbors is great, I can just plug in any headphones. Still trying to figure out if Bluetooth headphones would work. The feeling is overall very nice, and it was hard to screw all parts so we had to get powered screw driver to get all the screws tight. I find it slightly low but that could be a normal thing, as someone with tall posture this can be a thing with any piano.

This was my first experience with a digital piano. Earlier we had a Yamaha acoustic baby grand, but there's no room for it where I live now and I also wanted to play with headphones. This Kawai was very easy to assemble. I took my time and did it alone in less than two hours. Its sound is quite decent. I can't say the same for the keyboard touch, which is unquestionably the most important thing in a piano. The keys feel springy. Too much resistance. There are three touch adjustments, but the difference was imperceptible. If you're considering this piano I urge you to try one first. That's good advice for all digital pianos. I had no way to do that. As digital pianos go, I think this one is probably very good., But it's nothing like the experience of playing a good acoustic one. I ended up returning it. The seller was excellent, accepting return with no problem.
