Returning it as this does not look good like in the photos. Looks dull and cheap. That’s a bummer because I waited for a long time to buy this, and now once I see this in person I’m disappointed at how blah it looks.

I got this for my wife as one of her gifts for our one year wedding anniversary. She loved it and wears it all the time! I just love all the photos and lockets so much I wish I could get them all for her! It's such a pretty piece of jewelry, and there's something about a locket and putting a little photo of us as a couple inside to carry with her that makes it extra special!We've had this locket for almost 4 years now and the color on the front photo hasn't faded at all and still looks great! The actual locket gets a little tarnished if left in a really humid environment, but rubbing it with your fingers, or a very tiny spec of chrome cleaner from the auto shop makes it look as good as new.I wouldn't say the chain is "baby proof" but for a normal adult without a lot of yanking it's fairly strong and we haven't had a problem.Overall this a great item!
