Great prefolds, super soft on the skin.
I liked these prefolds so much I bought extra. They're originally 14x22 inches but shrink down in the laundry. Mine shrank down to about 13 x 18.5 losing about 20% of its area. This is more than the anticipated 5-10%, but they work great and absorb nicely. At this point in time I've only used them for a few diaper changes they've shrank to about the same size as their cotton counterpart. I'm very satisfied with how they work now on my 17 pound 5 month old baby, but this review may change if they continue to shrink and don't make it to the anticipated 30 pounds.I purchased these prefolds to see the difference between these and the cotton. So far I don't notice a huge difference in absorbance, but there is one in softness. These prefolds have a different color surging than my cotton ones, but I can immediately tell them apart with how they feel. Its not that the cotton aren't soft, its just these feel luxuriously soft and I prefer them on the bum of my little one. However, I've only washed these a maximum of ten times so I'm a little concerned that my favorite aspect will begin to fade. The advantage to prefolds is that you can use them in a variety of ways. You can use them the old fashion way and fold them around the baby the way grandma did it. This method requires a way to latch the diaper in the front which you can use good old fashion diaper pins (at least they're cuter than the ones grandma used) or snappis (my personal preference). These will keep the prefold in place while you put a waterproof cover over top. Directions are included on how to properly fold the cloth around baby, however if you're still not sure there are more than enough videos on this topic on Youtube. I prefer this method of folding because its the first defense against messes. You fold down the top of the diaper in the back, and then place the cloth around the baby in a diaper like fashion. Other than not being waterproof it should look like a diaper. This will help contain those creeping poos from ending up the back of your little one. You can also have a little tuck around the thighs to prevent anything from escaping there as well. After placing the cover you'll have a little bit more protection from escaping excrement. This method is the only one I trust when putting my daughter in the car seat, it really helps eliminate compression leaks. These will always work perfectly fine if you just want to tri fold them and use them as an insert in either a cover or pocket diaper. They may be a little long for some pocket diapers, but you can fold over to add extra absorbency where you need it. This method doesn't decrease the absorbency of the prefolds, however you won't receive the extra protection against escaping poo. You'll have the same chances of a blow out as any other insert. The best part of these prefolds? They don't have to be just diapers. You're probably not going to walk around with an all in one on your shoulder while burping your baby, but you can with these. I always throw extra in my bag when we're leaving the house. They can be used to quickly absorb any spills that are inevitable with children. Most diaper changing pads are made out of PUL, super convenient to wipe down but not absorbent so these are great to place beneath baby during diaper changes as extra protection of your grandmothers couch. If your baby started having a particularly bad spit up day while you're out and about, just throw one of these over your should and you have some great protection. Your baby grew out of diapers and you're not planning on having any more? These make the best cleaning rags.

Great as an overnight pocket!
I love these. They are soft, and I like knowing they are breathable cotton and bamboo!I use them with the jelly-roll fold (took a little practice) and a Snappi, and they catch those runny breastfed poops.Recently I found them to be super-useful stuffed into our MamaKoala pocket diaper covers. Very absorbent, which means his skin is nice and dry in the morning. <3They do shrink the first time you wash them, just so you know. But my baby is 17 lbs with thunder thighs, and they still fit.

Updated: Go with the cotton version of OsoCozy over these
Update: after months of washing about 20% of these have shrunk to the point that they are the same size as a better fit prefold. This means they no longer cover the full range inside the diaper. The regular cotton version are still long enough to cover the full length of the diaper. We can use the bamboo ones for the next kid, but they aren't very useful for our toddler now. I have dropped the rating from 5 to 3 stars due to unacceptable shrinkage. Our favorite cloth diaper system is the waterproof cover with a prefold insert, mostly because it is cheaper than the all-in-ones or all-in-twos but also we've never had a leak with this system. It is more of a pain to get the kid into the diaper using this system as assembly takes a bit and with a squirmy baby it can be more of a wrestling match.I've mostly used the OsoCozy brand, again due to their cheaper cost than others and have been very happy with them. When the baby was little little we used OsoCozy diaper flats using the kite fold and a snappy, now we use those flats in addition to a prefold at night for extra absorption. We then moved to the OsoCozy better fit prefold (the red stitched ones) and then on to the premium sized prefolds. When I went to order some more of the regular prefolds I saw these bamboo ones and decided to give it a shot. Hands down I recommend these over the regular or unbleached cotton. They are softer, they don't pill up quite as much, they stay more flat after repeated washing, they fold more easily, and most important they absorb more. The only downside is they do take about twenty minutes longer to dry than the 100% cotton due to the extra absorption. The attached photo shows the OsoCozy products after many uses and washes. The bamboo ones are in the top left corner. Note: One thing that confused me when first learning about prefolds was the 4X8X4 nonsense. All that means is that the center panel has eight layers and the side panels have four layers. It looks like a size, but it has nothing to do with size.

A learning curve but excellent quality
I am very new to cloth diapering and these had great reviews. They are a phenomenal quality - very soft and the absorbency is increasing with every wash. However, I am not super familiar with using them inside of a cover and for the life of me I cannot get them on my squirmy infant. This size is also a little large to simply use in a pocket so we've been using them for a variety of other things and keep practicing. I couldn't let them just sit in a drawer - they're SO soft!

super soft and absorbent
These are amazingly soft and very absorbent. I wish they were wider. I like the wider version prefolds most companies are coming out with. These are a bit to bulky for daytime. I love these for over night with a wool cover. I also love to use them under baby for no diaper time. While I breastfeed these are great for spills. My favorite multi purpose prefold.

Perfect for a newborn
Wow, so soft when washed x2-3 prior to use! These are the sofest diapers I have ever felt. Perfect for a newborn. I bought these for my daughter and her 1st child. I've had 5 children and never came across diapers like this. Excellent quality. They do take awhile to dry so buy extra. I will be purchasing more as I bought the 6 pack to try.
