Drum Set Soloist / Houghton

Excellent book, but very challenging. More for the advanced player. You might want to try houghton's anthology book first. A little more accessible. But both books are very good.

This is actually essentially a CD with several "drumless" tracks to allow drum soloing in different ways. The tracks are good, well chosen and played, but I would have preferred a more in-depth discussion on how to build solos in different forms.
