Leg Avenue Women's Plus-Size 2 Piece Polka Dotty Monster Costume

This costume is gorgeous. It only comes with the dress and hat, however the dress itself, while the one I got I was a little too busty for I did re-order a larger size, the skirt is poofy without having to add a petticoat underneath. I will add a petticoat just for extra poofiness. The hat is very large but comfortable not super tight. The skirt part of the dress has sparkles in it that really shine. I have only shown this costume to a few people and everyone has loved it so far. I didn't purchase the accessories on amazon because my local wal mart has the glovelets, tail, and leg warmers cheaper then amazon and in the same color purple so that is where I will be getting those. This costume can be a number of any kind of monsters, some have called it the "Purple People Eater" I am calling Mrs. Sully (from monsters inc). I love LOVE LOVE this costume it is definitely worth every penny and super good quality could last a long time.

For a Leg Avenue Halloween costume, I wasn't expecting much in terms of quality. However, I was pleasantly surprised!!! This costume is freaking awesome, and soooo much fun to wear. I wear a 1-2x in regular clothes and I'm very very busty, so I bought the 3-4x, and it was very accommodating of my chest and the fabric wasn't clingy at all. I don't think the 1-2x would have fit. Although I have no clue what the costume was supposed to be, it was a great conversation starter, as nobody else did either, but they all had guesses! (I settled on purple people eater.) I bought the separate leg warmers and covered myself in purple glitter and had a blast!!

I'm a size 18/20 and got the 1x/2x size. It fits perfectly and gives a nice figure! Only thing I dislike About this costume is that the skirt comes really wrinkled and it says do not iron. The skirt is also not as full as pictured.

This costume is made extra small I bought three x 4 x size in reg clothes they fall off on mt shoulders it about a one x in plus size also not the same in top looking not pleased with it will have toputon different top also no white in the skirt

This costume was great! I had so many compliments. The dress is thin, I wore a tank top and long sleeved purple shirt under the dress for outdoor cold weather gathering. The crinoline could use some static spray. The hat was comfortable and warm, needed a couple bobby-pins to stop sliding over my eyes. The costume held up well for two different outings and I’m very pleased with this purchase.

I was hoping this would fit, I doubted it since Leg Ave usually runs small but it was being sold at an outside plus size store and I thought I would give it shot. I was wrong. The outfit was extremely small! The waist line was up above my belly button and was just horrible looking. Now I will say, the outfit is adorable, and very pretty. I just don't understand why they advertise something a plus size 2 when in reality its pretty much a L-XL at the most. I ended up giving it to my cousin who wears a medium-large and it fit her perfect, so there you go. I gave it three stars just because I don't want to trash the actual costume. It is very well made, the details are cute, and the hat is just so awesome. So sad this didn't fit!

I took heed to another review and went up one size, which was the right idea! It was a perfect fit. The dress is gorgeous and the hat is adorable! Even without a petticoat the dress is still very poofy. The top of the dress is like wearing a tank-top, it covers everything nicely, the front is a v-neck which shows a bit of cleavage but nothing indecent (I wore it to a church function). The skirt of the dress is knee length, so again nothing indecent.All in all, this costume was well worth the money and I have zero regrets in buying it!

Love it! I wear a size 20 and the 3x/4x fits great. If you normally wear a 2x, I'd consider ordering the 3/4. It's adorable, the hat is well made and very warm. The material is thin, but it's constructed well. It does show a bit of cleavage, so may need an undershirt depending on your needs. Leg warmers sold separately, but think they were worth it.
