I'm familiar with the various Landmine Squat attachments and didn't like any of them -- I wanted an attachment that didn't have the weights on the attachment (slides around, unstable) and didn't want an attachment that weighed 50 pounds (I'm carrying in and out of my car along with a gym bag into the gym). This attachment fits the bill and works perfectly in the gym -- I don't attach to a standard landmine, instead I attach the grounded end of an Olympic Bar to a power rack (about 30 inches off the ground), and then load the other (working) end with weights and then slide this attachment on to the working end of the Olympic Bar. (Using a regular landmine with the grounded end on the ground creates too sharp of angle at the top of the lift.) works perfectly for squats both facing toward and facing away from the landmine. I've loaded the bar with about 200 pounds and no issues with welds. This type of squat allows one to go deep and squat upward and forward (a "thrust squat") -- seems to work upper thighs/musculature far more than a regular squat and thrusting quickly/jumping out of the bottom of the squat just seems more powerful and less to no knee strain. I'm 5'9", 195 pounds, have lifted about 45 years, competitive lifter in the military about 30 years ago, train 5-7 days a week, best squat 315 #s, full squats, x 25 reps; this landmine squat simply feels more powerful. I ordered and it arrived in 22 days -- made in China but have seen no US equivalent, good welds, good metal piping, powder coated, It'll last as long as I will last.
