Rust-Oleum Zinsser 307648 Odor Killing Primer, White, Quart

Does it work? Yes. However, it takes several thin coats and 24 hours dry time in between them minimum. I used this on the drawers and interior of an antique dresser that had been in storage for many years. Every cleaning/deodorizing product failed to make a dent. I started with a clean/dry piece of furniture and per the instructions on the can, that is very important. It ended up taking three coats of this product, getting into every nook and cranny of every surface of each drawer, except the outer front face, and all interior surfaces of the body of the dresser itself. After the first coat, the odor was notably worse and I got worried, but I trusted the process and kept going. By the time the third coat fully cured, the smell was virtually gone. I let it sit with the drawers out for another week before tossing in some scented drawer paper and it is a fully functional piece of furniture now. Thrilled with the results.

Although I was skeptical about this product, the morning after painting one coat, the stubborn cigarette smoke smell in my back entry way is gone. The product did what scrubbing with bleach, scrubbing with dishwashing soap, and painting multiple coats of sealing primer could not do - that is get rid of the smell.I was disappointed I didn't notice the product came as a quart instead of a gallon, but it goes on thin (quart goes a long way), dries clear, and was amazed how well it worked. I'm overjoyed the smell of smoke is finally gone. Any naysayers need to first clean the surface (the oil reside left from smoke needs to be cleaned off before applying this).

I used this to try to help resolve a pet urine smell at someone's home for them. It did an awesome job. It gives the floor a very nice low sheen and did a remarkable job of blocking the odor. Not 100% but the difference was dramatic. I think if I'd used a 3rd coat it might have completely removed it. My only complaint was the size of the can. When I looked at the listing I thought this was a gallon can so I was very surprised when what showed up was two tiny quart cans. It really does go a long way so I was able to finish the job with what I had, but I thought I'd bought enough to do a much larger area as well. It probably says quart on the listing. I just didn't read that part well enough.

This is a shellac based product. I used it on. The inside of a moldy smelling antique dresser, after scrubbing off mold, leaving in the sun and sanding. Not sure which activity got rid of the smell , but no smell at all in a dresser where I store infrequently used towels. Easy to apply and clear

This stuff is junk. Don’t waste your money on it. I put ten coats on affected area and it still stinks.

Works great!! A little pricey for size of can but it’s worth it! Got urine smell out of sub floor!
