To start off with, you shouldn't expect anything fancy with this. Its from a no-name brand, and the build quality is pretty cheap. But that said, it does work without any real complaints. I currently have it running a set of 4 fans alongside 4 ARGB outputs, and its working perfectly fine. It's connected to the 12V RGBW connector on my motherboard, and I have no problem controlling it through my motherboard's software. I also appreciate the reset button header on this device, which if you wire it up, lets the reset button on your chassis control the mode of the hub: whether it's taking RGB information from the motherboard or generating its own. This is useful for diagnostics, as you don't have to open up the case to reset the hub's input. With that said, the built-in lighting modes of this hub are the typical rainbow-barf RGB stuff, with the only control being to select what pattern it cycles the colors through; I haven't used any of them, but they're there, I guess. The biggest selling point for me is that this takes in 12V RGBW 4-pin, and outputs 5V ARGB 3-pin, which are two different and inoperable standards. When I bought this product, all I was searching for was a converter from the 12V to ARGB, and this product was the cheapest I found that fit the bill. So as far as I'm concerned, the fan hub capability is a bonus, and the sheer value of that gets it five stars.

Huge delay on the rgb effects, it says its pwm but the fans run at 100% the whole time and some of the rgb effects just straight up don't work

so many +5v toys but motherboards offer so few +5v headers. this product solved that. it does it well. however, im a little stuck on how to get signal rgb to recognize it. im only able to get asus sync to see fans on this device and in bios i see that they are indeed, recognized. sigh, ive been fighting with rgbs since 2018 and the software that comes with. but this is not a review of the open source rgb software. this hub works. get it when your motherboard makes you sad and disappointed. and if im nitpicking, the design is a little hard to work with.with wires coming in from all directions, it becomes a seething nest of wires ready to make you lose your cable management cool. with patience you can tame it. in a perfect world, this would be offered in a 9 port config with all connections coming from one side. it would be long, but with magnets, it would be a great design for tucking away the unsightly mess. still gets 5 stars though. easy, works, price was ok, delivered quickly with no damage.

The only reason why it price TWICE as it should be - because it has a 4 pin connector, so it should be able to connect and work with 12vRGB socket on motherboard. And it’s advertised, that this converter works with ASUS aura. So, it doesn’t. Aura doesn’t see this converter and the only option is goes - 1 color “breath” effect. So I pays double just to use built-in effects without any possibility to operate from Aura. The absolutely the same controller with only built-in effects costs $15. So, I’m really disappointed.

Not a single complaint. I just rebuilt my sons PC which the original was a hodgepodge of used and older parts I had laying around. Used an Asus Z390 MB with an Intel I5 9600 and 3060TI OC 12gb. Problem was the case I bought Okinas Aqua 7 also from Amazon. The case is amazing and own right perfect except they use a 3 pin ARGB connection for their fans (not bad ones either). Asus MB used a 4 pin RGB header x 2. I was able to get it all to work with the Aqua 7 included fan hub but I had an RGB video card brace and NVME cooler that needed a 3 pin connection. This literally worked absolutely flawlessly in the middle of that cable mess. Small form factor thin enough to go between MB tray and rear cover. Cables included are plenty long and instruction are as simply as hold button for 3 sec for MB control which I did or you can run inline iwth your case reset cable and control RGB function by pressing the case reset. Plenty of ports for both fans and 3 pin RGB. Will keep this in the cart just for when I build another pc. Awesome product and great construction...keep it up
