First off, I bought 5 strains from this seller. Chestnut, Pearl Oyster, Golden Oyster, Shiitake and Lion's Mane. I am a beginner mushroom grower and these liquid cultures were a perfect first start! They are excellent and strong strains that spread quickly, reducing chance for other contamination's to grow before the mycelium can take over your grain. I was particularly impressed with the Pearl Oyster and Chestnut strains, the jars were almost completely taken over with mycelium only a week or so after starting them!For other beginners looking to grow mushrooms, I highly suggest getting these. Whether you're using them for personal use or profit, liquid culture is an excellent way to get started. It's easy, and with these strains it's very hard to get bad results. And these strains are definitely worth the investment.Overall I was very, very impressed with these items quality, selection, and pricing. I will definitely be a long time customer as I explore the world of mushroom growing more!!!

Bought the blue oyster about to buy enoki.Syringe showed up i put some on a plate and it exploded across the plate in a matter of days.I put 2 mls in hydrated popcorn it went bonkers. completely consuming the 1 quart jar climbing to the of the jar and trying to get out of the jar.Took that spawn and put it in a dub tub with pasteurized aspen chip ( pet bedding) at a ratio of 1 to 2 (spawn to substrate). well as expected it full colonized that in 3 days. Then it decided it wasn't ready to fruit but it wanted to climb out of the tub and take over my house. I have been tossing around the idea of asking it to sign a renters agreement if it tries to take over my kitchen. I definitely cannot wait to see the fruiting bodies should be anytime now.

I have purchased twice. First syringe was like pushing water. Nothing grew. I will update this review after the results from the second syringe. Other varieties from this company have worked great.

I ensured all areas were cleaned with Clorox before inoculating ( substrate bag, counter top, syringe exterior, needle, etc.) Followed directions. Ensured the holes created by the syringe into the substrate bag were cleaned again and cleaned cover tape for the hole. Used several different Clorox wipes. taped bag and waited. Within a week- lots of mold in the substrate. Yikes!!

So I am trying to grow these in a 5 gal bucket using aspen chips as the substrate, and in some grow bags using 50/50 oak pellets/soy hull pellets (they expand into wet sawdust when you add hot water) and in both methods this mycelium is just taking over so fast! I wasn't as careful as I could have been but still no evidence of contamination. I have propagated it through multiple rounds of grain jars to get a lot of spawn ready, and this stuff has only taken a couple months to go through 3 rounds of spawn jars and into the fruiting substrates. Highly recommend!

This is a liquid not mushroom, when that liquid arrived it was so hot and to return it I have to pay to return it

I started this off on agar just to see if it was clean, and I wasn't disappointed! I just sent some to corn, and they have a beautiful color. I can't wait to eat these!
