Moisturizing and effective gel for overall use
I've been really pretty impressed with all the Novxpert products I've tried so far and this purifying gel is another excellent product so far. I use this as a very light moisturizer after using their Radiant Cleansing Foam, which doesn't seem to have any moisturizing effect on its own. What I've found to work well for me to keep my oily complexion in check is to use a gentle face cleanser followed by light use of a moisturizer. So this works well in concert with the cleansing foam and in addition to moisturizing, seems to have a beneficial effect on trouble spots (light break outs). So I'll apply a very light coat everywhere for moisturizing purposes, and apply a second bit on any trouble areas. Even in middle age, I do occasionally get some small areas of light acne and this seems to help in those areas. One piece of constructive advice I'd give to Novexpert though: The product descriptions should be proofread and corrected with more care. This is listed as a gentle and nourishing cleanser, which can confuse people. It should be used after washing your face with a cleanser like their cleansing foam or milky cleanser - not used as a cleanser. The 1oz size of this should clue people into this, but words do matter. Also, on their Repulp mask - it's described as a "milky cleanser" when it's really a mask. You can get creative in your interpretation for what they might actually mean, but it shouldn't take a lot of thought to zero in on what product category it fits into. This may be due to Novexpert being a French company and some things being translated with some mistakes, but more care here can help set expectations correctly which will lead to more happy customers. I also agree with another review that they've done well to print usage instructions inside the box itself and I very much applaud their vegan and organic approach to creating their product. I'm a real fan of what they're doing with their product line and have really liked all of their products so far.

Absorbed good and really seems to help dry skin, fairly neutral scent.
I glanced at the other reviewer and disagreed with part of what they reported. While they are correct that the product page lists this as a cleanser, I believe the term is used differently that liken it to being a facial scrub. Even in the name of many acne creams and such they describe as skin cleaners. More of a deep dive cleanser to clean within the skin and not the outer dermis. Before using I rubbed some on my fingers and it absorbed quickly. There is no soapy type of cleansing action. I had to be careful to apply to my forehead. It gets very dry and scaly after showers, so it was the main target. I was careful to keep the amount small and rub it in good staying away from the eyes as recommended. I recently got a nasty skin rash on the back of my neck which seemed infectious. I was prescribed Prednisone, and its fades, but I tried this on a few stubborn areas. It seemed to work better than the Cortisone cream I ordered on the Zon, but since it's largely cleared up this just helps the skin. I carefully put a tiny bit on top of my nose bridge as it gets red when using my BiPAP sleep apnea mask. I like this for some reason Zinc formulations do good things either internal or external. I also have to complement the maker on their apparent care for the environment. Most products have a printed paper inside the box to describe the use of the product. This one the box itself comes apart and the inside all the instructions for use were printed, so less paper waste for the environment. Recommended.

This stuff works!
I know the product description is very vague/misleading, but this is a gel-like lotion you apply all over your face to help mattify, clear up blemishes, and prevent new ones. And OMG it works! I had a stubborn blemish that didn’t want to go away so I applied a little dab and smoothed it on before I went to bed. By morning it was pretty much GONE! I always take zinc tabs if I have a cold, and while I’d never thought about zinc for my skin, I’m a believer now for sure. Just to clear up confusion, on the outside of the box it states, “The extraordinary purifying and mattifying performance of a triple zinc complex, combined with blemish-fighting plant extracts.” I have aging skin that still gets an occasional blemish, so I’ve added this to my skin regimen. After washing my face, I use my toner, apply this, then my serum and moisturizer (if that helps anyone in knowing which to apply first). My face doesn’t get as oily midday in the heat (t-zone) and I feel like my skin is staying nice and clear. Worth noting: parts of my face have dry areas and this doesn’t seem to dry them out more! Win-win! The tube is one ounce and as you can see from my photo it’s pretty big for a product of this nature and should last a long time — you don’t use much. I do my entire face with the dab shown in my photo. And it seems to really absorb into my skin quickly, so it doesn’t affect makeup application at all (like some gel-type facial products can). This product is a game changer for me! I’m hooked!

It's not a cleanser, but it's a wonderful matte moisturizer for acne prone skin
Despite what the description says, this is not a cleanser. NOVexpert Purifying Gel is more of a moisturizer for acne prone skin. The directions inside of the package state to simply apply it to your skin, morning and evening while avoiding contact with the eyes. The product has a light fruity scent that's not at all unpleasant. It's a thick white cream that goes on smoothly and absorbs easily and dries matte. It's great for oily skin and eliminates shine. Used in conjunction with the Clear Skin Foaming Gel and occasional use of the Expert Exfoliator Mask & Scrub , her skin is 100% clear and fresh. If only they made this when I was an acne prone teenager...
