I have an old MacBook Pro Mid 2009 that I have since replaced with a newer version but nothing was wrong with my old one except for the fact that my trackpad was getting non responsive. I couldn't 'click' like I used to. I brought it to an Apple store where they told me my battery had swelled thereby inhibiting my track pad. I asked them to replace the battery but they said they didn't work on old computers! (I was very disheartened to learn that!!!!)So, off to youtube! I saw a youtube video and realized anyone could replace their MacBookPro battery.Went to Amazon, saw the positive reviews for this particular battery and ordered it. I installed it in 10 minutes and its working great! Somewhere I read that after you install it, charge the battery to 100%. Then, go to settings and set the parameters so the battery would discharge completely. Wait 2 hours, and then recharge it. Then, go back and set the parameters to their original settings and you're good to go! Apparently, this sets the battery!BTW...I was concerned about stripping the screws! The outside ones on the case were simple to remove. The ones inside by the battery itself are DIFFERENT SCREWS! They're torque screws or something... the important thing to remember is that you have to use a different head, not a Philips head otherwise you will strip it! I bought the "VOXON Screwdriver Set, Precision Repair Tool Kit, 70 in 1 with 65 Bits Magnetic Driver Kit Professional Screwdriver Kit for iPhone 8, 8 Plus/ iPad/ Smartphone/ Game Console/ Tablet/ PC, etc" on Amazon for $20 so I would have a really good screwdriver and not strip the screws. If you're confident in your screwdriver skills use the ones provided with the battery. If not, invest an extra $20 and get a small screwdriver that can be used again.Overall....It works! They call an Apple worker a genius..... so if A=B, I guess I'M A GENIUS!!!! LOL

First one did not charge. They sent another and it charged to 80% and stopped. Could not charge after that. Returned and still waiting for refund for about a month now.

I ended up having this installed by a professional because I had to getting my old battery out. He said it was easy to install. We let it fully charge like recommend and it holds a charge for several hours more for normal use a little less when I watch movies on my laptop. It's was a great value compared the previous battery I purchased.

Replaced my original Apple battery with this one. Installation was a breeze for me, but I used to work on electronics professionally, so I knew what I was getting into. For a normal person, there are one or two delicate areas that you should use caution with, mainly dealing with the internal battery plug. Be gentle and go slow!Really appreciate that the seller includes screwdrivers. There aren’t any instructions, but you can find those online pretty easily.The battery itself seems to be pretty high quality, and it fit my 15in 2009 MacBook Pro perfectly. I’ve only used it for one cycle, but battery life seems to be right on par with what I remember from the original battery. It also seems to report cycle count and such just fine.Even if it only lasts half as long as the Apple original, this battery is a great value that I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again!

The battery arrived very fast. The included tools were very helpful and works great. This battery is a great improvement over my old wore out battery. I did charge and discharge the battery 3 cycles before writing this review. But, the charge does not last as long as the OEM battery did when it was newer. The thing that bothers me is the length of time it takes to charge. With the laptop powered off, it takes at least 8 hours to get to 98 or 99 percent charge. It never seems to get to full charge. If I unplug the charger, let it sit over night, when I boot it up in the morning, it will show a full charge. This doesn't seem normal to me. As this is my extra laptop, I'm not to concerned with the length of time the charge lasts. For the price, the charge lasts long enough for me.

I noticed my trackpad was bulging so I took the bottom cover of of my MBP 15 inch Mid 2010, only too see that my battery "didn't look right". Further research led me to discover I had the swollen battery issue. I looked around for 3rd party batteries forever until I decided on the SL-TECH battery. The reviews were good compared to other cost comparative batteries so I bit the bullet after debating for over two weeks. I received it within two days, Amazon Prime style.Installation was super easy. So far no issues at all . It's easy to find tutorials on replacing Macbook batteries on Youtube. I am not a techie by any means. I will update this review if I notice issues, but so far it's great.

Bought and installed Jan2023, and as of Jun 2023, it is dead and will not charge. Mac say battery malfunction. My old Mac sits on my desk, usually not on charger, very limited use. See other reviews - does not last, waste of money.

Battery came quickly in mail and works great. Charge holds over 2 hours of continued use but definitely better than the old battery that lasted 10mins before dying and swelled up making my trackpad not able to "Click". Now my trackpad works and battery does exactly what its supposed to do. The tools were a cool inclusion, all worked except actual battery screwdriver didn't fit the screw size but luckily had a right size driver from last battery replacement to do the job. Been over a week and so far so good on this battery! And for the price, it was definitely worth it! I have a 2009 mid July Macbook Pro 15inch.
