TradMall 2 Pack Mini Small Travel Umbrella, Lightweight Compact Parasol with UV Protection for Sun & Rain

EDIT: We had only used these twice and they are completely covered with specks mildew and the color has distorted. We had shook the umbrellas off good and let them sit for a few minutes before putting them up. The fabric is not very water resistant and there are 2 layers of the fabric(yellow on top and black underneath), this causes it to retain moisture for much longer than a regular umbrella. I've had a variety of colorful kids umbrellas but have never had this happen. Because of this I am changing my review from a 4 star to a 1 star. My original review is below. Wouldn't recommend these for adults because they are so small. I bought this set for my 2 kids (ages 10 and 5) to keep in their backpack for school. They fit well in the side pockets on a backpack or barely take up much room in a backpack itself. I got the largest ones but they really don't seem that large, but big enough to work for the kids. Since we walk home I got the bright yellow so cars can easily spot them, the color looks great. They seem a little flimsy. I haven't used them in strong winds but I'm afraid of how well they will work. Opening them up is a bit to difficult for my youngest, even my 10 year old struggles. You really have to push to get the lock to engage. Niether of my kids can't get them back in the pouch after use, I can, but you really have to put in effort by making sure the umbrellas are closed and strapped perfectly. When done right it's not that difficult but I can really see it being a problem for some people.

Purchased these for a family trip to Hawaii (shade). We didn’t pull them out for shade, but used one as a “thank you” for my aunt, who worked very hard to make sure we had a wonderful time. The umbrella (white) was a perfect canvas for my artistic cousin, who used sharpies to highlight a different aspect of our trip on each panel that included caricatures of everyone that attended. Needless to say, the inexpensive umbrella became a priceless and cherished souvenir.

I did not expect great quality at this price, but I’m returning because I don’t trust it not to break on my trip. The main problem is the mechanism of the thing at the top that holds the umbrella open. It barely holds and I felt like I had to force it to close and that this might break it. :(

Compact and light. Keeps out the sun. I use it when I go on my walks to keep in the shade.I'm just a little worried the mechanism that keeps it locked open is going to break. I have to try a couple of times to lock it into place to open it now.If that holds up, I definitely recommend it.

Purchased these to use during the filming of The Chosen's Feeding the 5,000 in Texas... temperature was 100°+... they worked beautifully.. kept us close as possible to comfortable given the high temp and our costumes!!! Highly recommended

These are good umbrellas for what you pay.

Very nice compact umbrella. Perfect to put in a backpack or the car door pocket. Is double lined so works well in sunlight. 10/10 would recommend. Also the manufacturer says it comes with a lifetime warranty. I hope I never need it but it's nice to know.
