Easy and Effective
Bought to pair with my 8bitdo Pro 2. Had lots of issues connecting the 8bit Pro 2 through my motherboard bluetooth and even to a external bluetooth dongle, but after I bought this adapater, was as easy as connecting usb, setting my controller to pair and hitting the button on the usb adapater, sucessfully paired without issues, no connection dropout.

Not what I was expecting, but I'm pleasantly surprised
I'm struggling to find a decent Bluetooth adapter for a desktop PC I'm setting up as a retro emulation station. I bought this thinking it was a generic Bluetooth USB adapter in a fancy shell. That's not what this is at all. This allows you to pair Bluetooth controllers, without using the Windows Bluetooth stack, and it treats them like wired Xbox controllers. So for best results you need to use a controller with the same number of buttons as an Xbox controller. I tried this with a dual shock 4 and I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was. Paired in just a few seconds. I'm thinking about getting a second one now for two-player games.Because it isn't a generic Bluetooth adapter, doesn't rely upon the windows Bluetooth stack, and maps all buttons to Xbox buttons, funky controllers like wiimotes don't work at all. They will pair but there's not much you can do with them. Least I haven't played with it very much. Another downside is if you do pair a PlayStation controller to use with this, button prompts in PC games show up as Xbox buttons. Could be potentially annoying if you're playing a new game and don't know what buttons do what. The control software, "ultimate control" is pretty intuitive and it's portable so it doesn't require an install. It's necessary to use if you want to say change the LED colors of a dual shock 4 or remap buttons. You can also use the software to set up different profiles and macros. At the end of the day, I still need to find a decent Bluetooth adapter for my wiimotes. For PlayStation controllers though this will do the job!

Perfect Device if You Follow the Directions!
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this device so I wouldn't have to waste money on first party controllers on my Switch when I have several other controllers that I use on PC. This is not a complicated or hard to use device. It appears that a LOT of people get confused that to put it in pairing mode, you just press the button on the adapter, not hold it. ALSO ON DUALSHOCK 4 CONTROLLERS, to put the Dualshock 4 controller in Bluetooth pairing mode you MUST hold the share button FIRST before holding the PlayStation button WHILE THE CONTROLLER IS OFF. If you miss any part of that, it won't go into pairing mode. But, that is a Sony issue, not 8bitdo. Xbox Series controllers are insanely easy. You just press the pairing button on the top. I own two of them and have had ZERO issues with either of them before or after updating the firmware on the devices. Legitimate complaints: won't wake Switch from sleep (you'll have to press the power button on the Switch), the adapter is too big to use more than one on a Switch without a small extender or USB hub. But, it will work perfect with multiple adapters with those fixes. That isreally Nintendo's fault for having the I/O ports so close together though anyways. The video I posted includes a Stadia controller to show that it works even on more obscure devices. However, I also use a Dualshock 4 and Xbox Series controllers on a regular basis without issue. Rumble even works perfectly on Xbox and PlayStation controllers.

Performs well with PS4 Controller
Worked as expected, had to order an immediate replacement however due to it falling apart because the chassis broke exposing the circuit card.

Fixed my 8bit duo pro controller connection issues from across the room
I’ve got a few the 8bit duo pro controllers. As nice controllers they are, I get a lot of connection issues playing on my mini gaming rig connected to my big tv. Having now switched to using this Bluetooth dongle, instead of connecting to the gaming pc’s built in bluetooth, I can now sit across the living room playing on the big screen. I no longer seem to have controller lag, or connection drop outs. Plus I could now connect my PlayStation controllers, or Xbox. I recommend this.
