LOVE IT!
This is my 18 pound 8 month old sleeping soundly in a life jacket! My husband and I have grown up on the water and are raising our three kids on the water. After three kids this is the first life jacket that an infant can actually wear comfortably. It doesn’t cut into her neck (or lack thereof) and she can actually nurse and relax. This is the first review I’ve ever written because I felt compelled to let everyone else know how wonderful this life jacket is for little ones. We live in the US on a small lake. Although this life jacket isn’t technically USCG approved, it functions way better than any of them indicated for infants under 30 pounds.

Would recommend, but a little spendy...
If you spend a lot of time around the water, the investment may be worth it. I bought this at the beginning of the summer for my then 2 month old. (I think she was around 12 lbs) We have used it handful of times over the last few months, in pools, out boating and canoeing, and even in the creek. She definitely prefers to be in the water when she has to use it, but by far the best life jacket I’ve used for a baby. It’s thinner than others and I feel like the double collar really cradles her head well. She still can’t sit up in it, but we recline her on some towels in the canoe! Lol. I still prefer to be within arms reach, but she is 5 months now and 16lbs and I’m confident she could turn face up by herself if she needed to...she can maneuver in it quite well (unlike others I’ve tried.)

Unmatched fit for smaller babies under 20 lbs!
This was a great purchase. Being a lake family who spends weekends on the boat, the safety of my newborn boy was a huge concern. Research led me to understanding there was no true great option for infants under 25 lbs. the smallest USCG approved jackets tend to flip babies face down in water and don’t fit smaller babies either. Way too big. This option looked promising and it delivered. Fit my son well at 3 months and could so easily lay and nap with the life jacket on comfortably. I was confident with my our first swim and every one after. We keep a hand on him at all times in the water. Take time to adjust fitment for proper buoyancy. The handle at the top works very well for any lifting out water if necessary.

Good investment
Best baby life jacket. Baby has mobility and is safe. May not be quite as buoyant as the US Coast Guard PFD but still a life jacket that baby will wear without crying the whole time and can nurse in. So relaxed in it that our baby falls asleep in it almost every boat ride, and the handy mesh pockets in the front are perfect for storing a passy. Very expensive but worth baby’s comfort and safety. Our baby wore it through the first 12 months and bc he was so used to wearing it, when he graduated to the US pfd, he happily wears it now no problem. If you’re going to be boating a lot and your baby is miserable in the typical PFD, I’d definitely consider investing in safety and comfort.

So worth the money
I was skeptical buying this because it was so much more expensive than the other life jackets I was looking at for my infant. But I am SO GLAD i bought this. My son has been using it since he was 3 months old and he is now one. We go to the lake all the time and he just floats and chills in it. We've used it in our pool and it's the only jacket that doesn't really squish his head. he literally lays back relaxes and floats in it. Other people have seen how relaxed he is in it that they've ordered this life jacket as well. again, i know it's more than other jackets but totally worth the money!!

Fits great on newborn!
Wow! Fits awesome on my little one! Started wearing at 4 weeks (about 9 pounds) and it supports her head and body super well! The buoyancy is well distributed for her body size. Very adjustable/customizable sizing, highly recommend. She snoozes in it frequently while on the boat and even when floating, so she must feel comfy and secure.

Love this PFD for kids.
I have 2 grandkids that are 2 and 1. We used this PFD for the 2 year old. A friend bought us a PFD for 1 year old that was well rated but that one is not half as nice as this one. It floats him well and keeps him on his back and is easy to use. I would recommend this vest to anyone.

Must have for Boat
Our infant is 3 months old and 13 pounds. The life jacket holds her in place and has plenty of adjustment for when she grows. Appears well made. She doesn't seem to mind floating around in the bathtub wearing it.

More Comfort
I purchased the Salus Bijoux Baby Red life jacket after our son and daughter-in-law brought our infant granddaughter for a boat ride wearing the infant life jacket they had for her. The poor baby, as they sat her on their lap or the seat of the boat, the jacket rode up her body with the zipper squishing into her face and in particular her eyes. She could see nothing, she couldn’t move and she looked horribly uncomfortable. As soon as we got back to shore, I went to amazon.ca and order the Bijoux.Delivery time was as expected and the jacket provided much more comfort for our granddaughter. She is able to move her arms and legs much more freely and no more zipper in her face/eyes.

Perfect!!!
Exactly what I was looking for!! It is SO hard to find a life jacket for babies and this one is perfect! It keeps my 3 month old (approx 12lbs) afloat and keeps her on her back aswell. Fit is perfect, and has adjustable straps so lots of room for growing!

Efficace
Acheté pour bébé de 1 an et demi. Le bébé ne se sent pas coincé comme les vestes de sauvetage classiques et lorsque le bébé tombe à l'eau, le gilet Salus le retourne rapidement sur le dos. Très efficace.
