Alchemy Goods Franklin Bifold Wallet

I received this wallet with the marine blue thread about 8 years ago for Father's Day. I just received a replacement today because finally after 8 years, one of the card slots ripped out. It has survived 8 years and a puppy attack (as sen as the hole in the corner in the pics)! Great quality, cool looking, thin, and durable. Definitely would buy it again in another 8 years!

I got this as part of a birthday gift for my husband but we had to return it. The back part of the wallet just opens too wide since the material is not stretchy; careless use could cause your cash to fall right out. Also, he didn't want to deal with the break-in period of trying to shove his 8 or so cards into the 4 pockets. Maybe they would start to fit in after a while as other reviewers noted, but he wanted something to use right away, and pulling out tight cards is a pain especially when you need them quickly for the metro or for security checkpoints. We'll try another product from the same line though, because the material looked very durable and the wallet looked nice.

This wallet is great for what it is: a quality Up-cycling effort. It's a sizable, flexible, eco-minded product that's also very stylish. I am happy with my purchase, and happy that this will likely be the last wallet I ever need (the material is very sturdy).My ONLY complaint is that it's almost too flexible. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I'm always pushing my cards back into the slots so they fit snugly. The material is so flexible that the cards don't always stick exactly in the slot like they would in my old leather wallet. Don't get me wrong, this wallet fits quite a lot and I don't really think my cards will fall out, I just like things to ft snugly.

I bought this for my boyfriend who loves road and mountain biking. And who is also an appreciator of unique gifts. We saw this at a shop in Moab, UT and since he was with me, i couldnt buy it at the time. But I am glad I didn't. the different color threading option is great. I got the one with orange, since its his color of choice, and it looks great. The wallet is very well made and it really adjusts to the bulk of items guys carry in their wallet. My boyfriend got it a week ago and every time he touches it, praises how much he loves it. Highly recommend!

this wallet is so cool. it's made from old bicycle inner-tubes. how neat is that?it looks awesome, holds everything i want, is nice and light, and is just plain swell.the only downside to the wallet is that the cards will migrate up a little bit in their slots and you have to push them down. but, so far, none have migrated far enough to come out of the slot or be a problem at all.

I bought this for my husband. When he first got it, he thought that it was way too small to carry all of his cards. We were actually planning on returning it. But after reading a couple reviews where people said that it stretched out, he decided to give it a shot. It turns out, the material of the wallet really does stretch and it holds almost all of his cards (and seriously, he was carrying too much stuff around before anyways). He loves his new wallet.

I am a vegan, so I'm always on the lookout for quality, animal-free products that are comparable to their leather counterparts in usability and comfort. So, while I'm writing this review in order to help vegans compare this wallet to other options, I realize that the primary goal of this wallet isn't necessarily to be a vegan product, but to be conscientious in reusing and repurposing post-consumer goods. In that sense, I think it's fantastic.If you are looking at this solely as a vegan alternative to leather wallets, however, I would say it's just okay.Pros:I've been using it for several months. In general, it has achieved the task of holding a license, insurance cards, a few charge cards, and a bit of cash.- Really love the focus on repurposing- I like that it is relatively slim as I carry my wallet in my back pocket so I don't want a lot of bulk.- I was worried the material might smell, but I found that is not the case.- I've also found it to be very durable.- For me, this is a local product as it's made in Seattle.Cons:- The rubber often rubs the reflective material off of charge cards (e.g. the numbers or expiration). This can make the cards difficult to read. While it's rare that I need to read the digits off of a card, it does make online shopping a bit more tougher. Some local merchants- There's very little yield at the seams of card pockets. This means that they really are designed to hold just card. If you try to put multiple cards in the card slots, you can make them fit, but they have a tendency to crack if you keep this wallet in your back pocket and apply basic pressure (like sitting down).Ultimately, I think there are much better vegan wallets out there (in terms of comfort and usability) by Herschel and Vegan Collection. I still went with this wallet, however, because I preferred that it was reusing/repurposing what might have otherwise become waste.

One of my sons doesn't share my outlook on leather, but was needing a new wallet. I read the previous reviews and thought this might be an acceptable substitute for what he thought of as a "real" quality wallet.As soon as he got it, he looked at it closely and then transferred all of his old (leather) wallet contents to this one.
