they work great on my 4.2 jag motor
I went out on a limb and ordered 3 of these for my bone stock 1982 xj6 4.2 jaguar 6 cylinder in my XK120. I tried a set of 48dco/sp webers from a friends xke race car but way to much carb as they had 42 mm Venturi and super rich main jets, emulsion tubes and idle jets. After pricing what it would cost to get the right parts to tame the 48's, it was cheaper to buy these 45's plus they come with manual enrichment feature(Choke) that the /sp's don't have.I did take one apart to see what was in it. Some of the parts are marked and some are not. the main jets are 145, emulsion tubes f16, ventiries are 36mm. Idle jets and air corrector jets are not marked. It does appear that all standard weber parts interchange. They come with three different types of throttle arms, and several styles of banjo fuel fittings so hooking them up was not a problem.I bolted them on and it fired right up and after doing some fiddling around they worked perfectly. I did have to crank the idle mixture screws out more than normal, about 3-4 turns and considered putting bigger idle jets in but they work so good that i decided to leave my fingers off of them. Also, the enrichment chokes work perfectly on cold starts. The only negative was that they had the wrong sealing washer on one side of the banjo fittings.I don't know how well they will hold up but at this price I'm going to order a couple more just to have around for parts.

Better than original
I bought these to replace original and brand new weber I could not get to work due to bad tolerances and vacuum leaks.

work well once setup for application
I bought this because one of my Weber 45’s had a cracked body. The carb is cheaper than a new ‘Weber’ body and rebuild kit. I have read many of the stories about Chinese items, but I have had good luck with a number of Chinese casting from heads to intakes. Many times being of better casting quality than major brands. With a little bit of work and some upgraded parts I have ended up with items similar to what would have cost thousands of dollars more. Therefore, I figured I would give it a shot and worse case have spare parts. These are Weber clones. The housings seem to be somewhat better casting quality than the older Webers I have. Caution that the metered parts are not marked. However, the parts do measure accurately to the description in the listing. Like any of the Chinese parts, it is highly recommended to completely disassemble, inspect and clean. This may not be a big issue for the carbs as many of the metered parts will need to be exchanged for your specific application. I found all parts were interchangeable with both Weber brand and knock off parts. I had no issue with fitment of different parts. I would have given 5 stars but one of the carbs I got had brass floats and one had the better plastic floats. I replaced the brass floats with plastic. I have no idea why they would have used the older style brass floats. For my setup, I made many changes but as I mentioned everything fit well.I changed both the main and auxiliary venturi, main jets, air correction jets, emulsion tube and the velocity stacks. My setup required much higher flow then the stock setup. Once installed the engine fired right up idled smoothly. Running dual carbs they balance easily with very little adjustment. Measuring the A/F ratio it is right where it was with the dual Webers. Except for the brass floats, these are an excellent buy. If you are looking for function in a side draft carb then these are hard to ignore. If you are looking for the Weber logo then you will need to spend 2X the money for the same performance.

Not sure if something is missing or not.
On the front of the bowl area it has a machined surface that looks like it should have a sight window for fuel level. Is it missing or is this normal ?Also I am familiar with Webbers and Delertos but is this tension loaded lever a manual choke ?No owners manual in the box. Is their any manuals available?
