I installed an Android-based headunit in a friend's Lexus IS, but the hardware running it was extremely slow and its native support for Google and Apple phones was a crappy "mirroring" mode. This made a huge difference. CarPlay and Android Auto are both supported natively and both are much more responsive because the display doesn't rely as heavily on the slow hardware in the radio itself. Very happy with this one.

It’s showing white or black screen and each time you have to play with the settings to work.

Product wasn’t working until I deleted an aftermarket navigation app “Waze” then it was slow to connect and kept disconnecting somehow ! Poor quality product do not buy

Works ok half of the time, the other half I have to unplug it to reset it. I have to admit the problem could be my phone or my car.

This is an excellent USB Dongle for any Android Car Radio. I followed the instructions and downloaded the app required from the manual it comes with onto the stereo and after some very easy trial and error with figuring out the settings it worked flawlessly. One thing I did notice is when I went to play music and podcasts through Spotify it would start playing for a few seconds then stop so I pressed play again but it still stopped after only a few seconds then I realized there’s something about the phone being connected to the same radio’s Bluetooth at the same time as using the CarPlay but once I turned off my cellphone’s Bluetooth Spotify played perfectly so I just have to remember to turn Bluetooth off on my cell if I’m going to use the USB CarPlay Dongle. Even stock CarPlay connections could occasionally be glitchy from what I’ve seen, my cousin’s Honda Accord comes with CarPlay built into the stock radio and he says every now and then he has to unplug it and plug it back in a few seconds later when it acts up so even though I haven’t had to do the same with this yet if it ever does freeze up or slow down that’s what I’ll do. This Dongle is perfect for what I need it for and at the best price I could find for one since they can get ridiculously overpriced elsewhere. If you need this don’t wait just get it you’ll be glad you did!
