Great pouch for many uses.
I purchased one of these to hold a 1st Aid Kit I take with me when camping or hiking. Met my needs perfectly. The pouch closes well, but would allow smaller items to work their way out if they are not in other baggies of some sort. I keep my items seperated with 1 quart freezer bags so this was not a problem for me.The pouch itself is well made. Seems like it will last a long while. Material and stitching are both sturdy, without the added weight and pointless 'overbuilding' seen on many other brands similar items (MaxPedition or BlackHawk for example). This one is well built, sturdy, and made to last; why waste the weight and money on added features like heavy duty handles, velcro patch holders, and a 100 different attachment points? There are numerous slots for Alice Clips, or their many modern variations, accross the back. There are also 2 large snap straps to allow easy attachment to a belt or pack. The snaps are sturdy and secure, but smooth enough to allow for easy use. There are 2 stiffeners on the sides to help it hold its shape, and the snap buckle closure is sturdy. This will obviously hold a 200 SAW mag for the rare few who have the priveldge of owning one (NFA dealers), but it had a multitude of other uses. As stated above, I use one as a 1st Aid Kit. I also have another I keep in my car with some basic items; paracord, multi-tool, flashlight, knife, road flare, beanie hat, gloves, lighter, etc. It is handy to have a rugged little bag to keep these items in that can be tossed under the seat or behind the seat of my truck. For the price, this cant be beat. While you can pay 2-3x as much for an over-built, 'trendy' name brand product to serve the same purpose, Id suggest you consider if the assorted little straps, heavy duty carry handle, and the associated weight and bulk are really worth the extra money.

Four Stars
Sturdy, well made. Will get another or two.

Adequate
This pouch is not official US issue as stated. It lacks the proper markings and label all contract equipment is required to have. The pouch is however, well built and will serve its purpose for my use. 3 stars for deceptive advertising.

Very Useful!
Let's face it! Not too many of us have a SAW lying around the house so this pouches original intent is wasted. The storage space that it affords; however, is not.I use these pouches to "compartmentalize" my Bug-Out-Box with each pouch holding items meant for a specific purpose. These pouches can hold three complete MRE packages, ammunition of various types, first aid kits, fire started kit,and much more as I need them. They can be easily transferred to a SALLE pack (also in my Bug-Out-Box), MOLLE pack/vest, or simply hung on a belt as need be due to the rear straps with positive snaps. They are of excellent quality and are well made. Plastic, integrated plastic side panels help defray crushing from the sides. A robust buckle allows you to easily access the contents of the pouch without hearing the dreaded "Velcro" tear and also hold the top cover in place with authority. A grommet reinforced drain hole at the bottom of the pouch ensures drainage. These pouches are getting hard to come by, especially at this price. And, of course, if you do have a SAW you will find these pouches invaluable for carrying the main ingredient for proper SAW operation - ammunition.

Not Large Enough
These pouches have nearly gotten me smoked. They’re way too tight for the 200 round drums, making it a pain just to get the drum out when the weapon attachment point on the drum gets caught on the inside of the pouch. When you’re in the middle of a training exercise and everyone’s telling you to get the gun up, this is not the gear you want. Buyer beware.

great belt pouch
I've bought two of these things now, and both function very well for my purpose. I'm using them as a bug-out-bag addon. I can store so much in these that I've actually decided to pack a change of cloths into my regular bug-out-bag backpack. If you use the coast guard type rations, you can fit about 9 days of food in one pack (though you'd probaly have to unpack one of the three containers, which I wouldn't reccommend)Can be put on or removed from a belt without removing the belt, which is nice. It's not waterproof, and small uncontained items could fall out of the top if you turned it upside down (perfect time for some one gallon ziplock bags)They're just about the right size that you could attatch them to the side of your pack if you didn't want to put them on your belt, but attatching them well would depend on the pack.

Good size.
The utility pouch secures well to the gun belt and stays there. In my case, I use it in conjunction with my photography gear and use this one to carry a telephoto lens. If I ever need it for it's original intent, I'm sure it'll do the job.

Love my Pack
First off let me start by saying that I am a military veteran college student. I went to a Molle Assualt Backpack for college after having many different packs failed, even the really expensive ones. Failing back on my training I knew our gear was meant to stand up to the roughest conditions. Having said that I ordered my assualt pack a while ago, and it has held up to to abuse and them some. But it just didn't have enough pockets. So I stared ordering them from Amazon. So now I have a customized pack with waht I need where I need it. Granted my pack is now multi-colored and Multi-branch I love it. Its fitting be a veteran and president of my Veterans club at college. The accessories are perfect, roughed, built tough, and fit right on my Molle pack. This pouch is bigger then I thought, Which is good. It holds all my extra engineering supplies.
