Cirque Colors Holographic Nail Polish - Subculture - Rainbow Metallic - 0.37 fl. oz. (11 ml)

I didn't really have high hopes for this nail polish, but it's actually amazing. I got the subculture color cause I love the holographic rainbow look. I brought it to a nail salon to get my nails done and the manicurist kept comment how much she loved the color. Without any direct light hitting it it looks silvery with some sparkles of color, but when the light hits it it becomes a whole rainbow of colors. I wore it for a full week long vacation and it didn't chip at all. I liked it so much I just ordered another in black!

This exceeded my expectations. This formula goes on like butter - it's smooth and thin yet even at one coat (first photo), the shine payoff is fantastic. Two coats is perfection (video and 2nd photo), especially in daylight. This dries in under 5 minutes and that alone makes this worth the price. I splurged on this bottle instead of paying the $16+shipping for another name brand nail polish retailer, and I'm surprised how pleased I am even though $14 is almost an embarrassing amount to spend on nail polish. I will definitely consider other colors next time I want to treat myself! Will be bottoming out this bottle for sure.

The formula of the polish is great. It levels well and is nice and opaque after two layers. However, the main reason I bought it was because it was advertised as holographic. Yes, the polish is holographic, but it only is visible under very direct light. The holo glitters are so finely milled that when it picks up on light, it most of the time just looks like a gray sparkly polish. I want to try other holo polishes from this brand, but I'm nervous that the others will have the same result.

I wanted a fun topcoat like this to put over other colors. I included a photo to help show it over other colors. This worked well, but for a topcoat, it was almost too thick. I had to wipe the brush pretty dry to get the effect I sort of wanted. There are numerous other photos of people that used it as a full nailpolish, so I wanted to show how it looks lightly over colors. I do recommend this! It's pretty, but maybe not the best for what I wanted to achieve

Yes, it's gray in low light. But that's what I hoped for. The others I bought looked blue or even yellowish (which is gross for nails). This is very rainbow-y and glittery in decent light. In sunlight it's stunning. Love it.
