I read a lot of reviews before ordering this product about these tags being too small (short) to write on, but that is exactly the reason I wanted these. I have over 300 house plants and a young cat who is thrilled to find these tags and pull them out. She doesn't bother the plants but loves the identifying tags. So now I have a draw full of tags and unidentified plants. I have a lot of rare varieties so I will end up looking on line to find which tag goes with what plant and these tags will be perfect! They measure 3 1/8" from top to where the "V" starts and are a full 3/4" wide, enough to write three line of information. I will be able to pull these tags down into the soil enough to where she doesn't see them so that all of my plants will once again have names. One side is slightly duller than the other so that is the side to write on in either pencil or permanent marker, pens, not so much. Love them!

I don't know why some people said they can't write with pencil. It works just fine. In fact, pencil is the best way to go when writing tagging your veggie. It won't fade in the sun, withstand water, and it even come out of your compost with the name still visible! I love this tags.

These are nice, thick, sturdy tags that can easily be reused year after year. The rough texture is easy to write on and prevents smearing. I had no issues setting these into the garden soil after planting the seedlings, they didn't bend or flop like thinner tags.

We did use them on the second transplant from small to larger containers. But did not work where outside or if got wet -writing disappears. For this purpose we ended up cutting up old plastic venetian blinds (white) worked as well and were free except for effort of cutting them up.

Perfect way to identify my plants after I repot them

Great price - and nice surface for writing! We started our garden from seed this year and needed to track what we planted. These are PERFECT and will go outside in the garden when the plants do.

when I have a dozen little pots of the same plant I now use only one large tag with the full plant name, then 11 of these little guys with just initials. less crowding. less writing.

These plant markers are perfect size. I was able to mark and erase when I was done with them. Ready for my next planting project. Very sturdy.
