Not stable
I had high hopes this would work to allow me to move my old South Bend lathe around (small shop). Unfortunately, at the moment I am torn as to whether to find a way to modify them or just return them.My lathe with everything in/on it is around 1200 lb. Siting on the floor, without casters, if I gave it a good nudge it might slide a hair. But with these casters on, the top wiggles a couple inches. And for a lathe that can only end in disaster. The problem stems from the rubber foot being too loose in the metal housing, it has almost an 1/8th of an inch in space all the way a round it. These are rated at 550 pounds, I am not sure about most but, a 2200 lb. (4 wheels) machine tipping over on anyone is one sure way to be headed for an emergency room, if not worse. I might not have rated it as bad if I was using the caster in an unusual way but at 2200 lb. there are only so many things that weight that much, that you might put casters on, and most are some kind of machine. Two side notes, first, once the full weight of the lathe was on the rubber foot I could hardly continue turn the knob with my hand to get it level. Second they do come with a thread shaft and a nut, for mounting, but it is only about 1 inch long and almost half goes into the caster, so on my lathe, which has 1/2 inch thick steel feet, barely enough stuck out to put the nut on. Also as they don't mention it, the shaft is a 12mm course/standard thread if you need to track down a longer one for your equipment. Not that I would recommend anyone use this on anything over 100 pounds, and especially not on anything with moving parts.

Well worth the money.
It's nice to know some really seriously quality items are still made today. I have no doubt these could handle just about any job.

Worked Great for Me
Bought these to use on my Grizzly Metal Lathe. Made leveling my lathe fairly easy (it's a time consuming process no matter what) and I like that if I ever decide to move it in my shop I can roll it over to where I wanted to put it.
