A swoon-worthy love letter to the romance genre
REVIEW⚠️cw: mention of cheating ⚠️Romance novelist Fizzy Chen is in a writing slump. She hasn't ever really been in love, but now she's struggling to even write about it. When nature documentarian Connor Prince is forced to spearhead a reality dating show, his ex wife's romance books give him the idea for his leading lady. But what happens when you fall in love offscreen? We first met Fizzy in The Soulmate Equation, and, well... Fizzy has lost her fizz. She's still irreverent, sassy and hilarious. But after Rob, she's struggled to date, and worse, write. I loved Fizzy's cheekiness in TSE, but I think I actually loved her more in this book. We get to see Fizzy's insecurities, and her vulnerable side. I was obsessed with Connor from the start, although I would love to know WHERE exactly in Blackpool they make men like him (if you know Blackpool as well as I do, you'll understand 😂). I loved the way Fizzy's initial ploy created the most genius dating show that I would LOVE to watch. I also loved catching up with Jess and River, and I cried laughing every time River accidentally interrupted one of Fizzy and Jess's conversations. But this is a story about true love, and, while I won't spoil anything, Connor and Fizzy were utterly perfect together. I adored their banter, their heartfelt conversations, and their chemistry was incendiary. And the ending was *chefs kiss*This story was full of heart and hilarity, and the perfect love letter to the romance genre.Overall Rating: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Heat Rating: 🔥🔥Emotional Rating: 💓💔🙈💓😬👏🏻🙈😬💓😂💓😢💔🥰😍😂😍💓🥰😍🥰😂😂💓😍😉💓🥰🤬🥰👏🏻😍🥰😒💔👏🏻🙈🥰💔🥰💓😉👏🏻💓😭🥰😂🥰

Not as good as Book 1
[edit]Overall Score: 4/5Character Development: 4/5Plot: 4.5/5Readability: 3/5Enjoyment: 4/5This one just felt a little bit too cheesy and unbelievable to me. I always find that the 'funny side character' in book 1, never makes a good lead in their own book. I also found the MMC to be a bit lacklustre. This book didn't have that addicting feel that book 1 did but I think fans of Christina Lauren will enjoy this book, I just wasn't blown away.

Amazing
Loved this book. What a lovely premise for a book! Fizzy is fab and completely steals the show. Connor is a dreamboat.

Pure joy, a celebration of romance
I'm a big Christina Lauren fan, and loved The Soulmate Equation, so I was glad Fizzy was going to get her own story. TTLE didn't disappoint. Funny, swoony, romantic, wish fulfilling and joyous. All the feels. I loved the Hero characters, and seeing Juno, Jess and River again. I liked the reality TV plot, and how CLo got Fizzy and Conner out of difficulty and back into true love's arms and the HEA readers expect. My favourite contemporary rom com of the year!Sidenote, Lauren's solo book Scandalized, under the pen name Ivy Owens, is super swoony and sexy.

Fizzy is back!
Fizzy! The bubbly, hilarious bestie from Soulmate Equation gets her own book!Fizzy has writers block and is in a lull in life and somehow she gets to be the star of a TV dating show by the beautiful Connor Prince the Third!!!Although I thought it started off really slow, as it got going, I was hooked! Oh and beware, 3rd act drama made! Whhhhhhy does that have to happen?!!!Anyway, this was a funny, schexy, chemistry filled read and can I just say that I loved Connor!!! Especially loved him because he's English and you can't go wrong there!!!

An engaging romp of a story!
A definite hit for me! I really enjoyed the novel's basic concept - FMC writer Fizzy (who appeared previously in "The Soulmate Equation" is to be involved in a one-of-a-kind dating programme aimed at finding her soulmate, with a little help from the same love equation from the first book in the duology. I really liked Fizzy's role in crafting the story. She proved herself to be a strong contender, who was not afraid to speak up for herself and show her fun, sexy side on the show - which many others would have tamped down for fear of recrimination.Of course, things could not possibly go to plan, and it is producer Connor who actually catches her eye - but can they even be around each other when both of their careers basically depend on this show going well?Christina Lauren have once again crafted a thoroughly enjoyable romp of a story!
