Excellent flow, great for fluent speaker read aloud to just about any age or to practice your Spanish conversational fluency as it is even more entertaining the faster you read it. My parents are Cuban, and I thoroughly enjoyed the cadence and authenticity and energy the author used while reading part of story on YouTube. Excellent! Reluctant daughter to speak in Spanish was laughing throughout, begging to see pictures, plus I was thoroughly entertained. Bilingual with English makes it easy read in either language with lots of fun pictures but that also distracts from Spanish if your goal is 100% fluency for a kiddo that already reads English. Great read aloud but not primary literacy for little ones unless already partially fluent.

My wife and I are professionals that work in international development - specifically with civil society empowerment in Central America. This is a wonderful book for anyone that empathizes with such work. Enough so that we bought it for an adult colleague! One that I love to read to our daughters again and again. Serious work of art and powerful story.
