Great filter, amazing to know our water is as safe as can be.

Good product, just the battery didn’t work for the 3 months count down of the filter.

We like to push things to the limit just to see how far something can actually go, versus how far we're told it can go. So we decided to push the filters. We are also a bit of water snobs and we like our water to taste like spring water. The filter that came with the system lasted about 7 months. The replacement filter lasted almost a year, and the only reason why we switched it out was because it was filtering so slow that our patience just couldn't handle it anymore! What noticed is that the quality of the water does not go down after 90 days. First day and last day taste the same. It just collects all the sediment in the filter and starts to get clogged after a time; which causes it to filter slower. Still no leaking after over a year and a half, and we live in a state with very hard water! You can actually see a visual difference in the picture and video. The unfiltered water has literally stained the reservoir, and you can even see some hard water buildup on top the edge, but the filtered water reservoir is still crystal clear. All that even though we've only used 2 filters in a year and a half (We just put in our third).

This water filtered requires very little assembly, you literally screw on the tap and put the lid on. It does include step by step instructions should you need them. The most important thing is to make sure you discard the first full filter, the instructions suggest you could water plants with this which I like. It takes approximately 30 minutes to filter a full tank which is quite a while but once done you simply keep it topped up and it won’t keep you waiting. I wasn’t sure how well this would fit into my modest fridge freezer but it actually fits no problem. It has a front handle (more of a lip) and you will need to slide it forward an inch so that you can use the tap to dispense water. I thought this was going to be annoying but it’s actually not a bother. The water tastes completely of nothing there is no taste which is really refreshing. Being fridge temperature is excellent on hot days and negates the need for ice as you have perfectly cool squash on tap as it were! When you refill the unit it’s easy to just fill your kitchen jug, slide your unit forward as you would to dispense water and open the special sliding cover on the lid and top up. The handy digital counter counts down from 90 days to remind you to replace the filter. The filters cost £46 and last approximately 3 months, that’s about £15 a month. I currently spend £14.64 per month on bottled water for my family so it’s in the right ball park. The filters from what I’ve read are one of the best performing available my only question is that in the UK is it really needed? Our tap water is very good quality and we do not get hurricanes. If I replace the bottled water I buy with reusable bottles filling them with this filtered water I do not save any money but I dramatically reduce the amount of plastic waste that my family produces. So I can see that this promotes a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. At £79.99 (May ‘21) this isn’t cheap but it is family sized and provides you with an environmentally friendly channel to ensure that the water your family is drinking is as safe as it can be. On that basis I happy to recommend this item and hope that it helps change the single use plastic bottle society that we have become.

Because it's a good filtration system it's slower than Brita or Pur in filling up the large pitcher but the taste is worth the wait... delicious clean pure water! To solve issue with slow filtration rate I leave the large pitcher on the kitchen counter and fill a smallerer pitcher to put in the fridge. I use my Counter Epic Water pitcher to make tea, coffee, sauces & soups. As a result of drinking this pure water for over 3 months (and doing no other change in my life) my energy has increased and my sleep has been better and more restful than ever, that I have now started to work out. Because this water tastes so good, i invested in a travel water bottle that keeps the water chilled for upto 24hrs. I take my water wherever I go and refuse to drink any other water. Once you buy the pitcher and drink this water you'll see for yourself and will agree with me it's the best investment you will ever make in your health. Regarding the leak from spout: you have to make sure you tighten it well. Just because you think you have screwed it on tight doesnt mean you have. If it leaks, it means you can tighten it more. I have had mine 3 months nowand have had no leaks. Enjoy!
