Crab Costume for Toddlers | Crustacean Outfit with Jumpsuit, Animal Hood, Claw Gloves, Shell, and Boot Covers

If you are on the fence, don’t be! This costume is absolutely perfect! It feels well made and it’s super easy to get on. The legs on the side are attached to the suit. The shell, hand and feet covers are simple to put on and my boy did not mind the hat at all surprisingly. My little boy was a hit! Everyone loved the costume. It’s warm so nothing is even needed underneath. I will say it runs a little snug so size up.

I bought the 4T. The head was way too tight. The rest of the outfit fit my 3.5 year daughter fine. I will have to add several inches to the chin strap to make the head work for my daughter, because not only is the chin strap too small, but the actual hood part to the hat is very shallow and does not wrap around the head at all, making a chin strap required. The other big issue with this costume is more of an unforeseen complication. The costume is a red onesie with a front zip. Then, you put a shell over your head and stick the crab legs that are attached to the onesie through the shell. It looks very cute, but if your child has to use the bathroom urgently (as children often do), it is a nightmare. I had intended to send my daughter to preschool in this costume, and I just don't think I can do that to the teachers. I'm considering chopping off the legs and turning it into a tunic. Finally, the costume did STINK coming out of the package. It needed to air out for a couple days before I would let my daughter near it. In conclusion, the body of the costume is well constructed and cute. It is not stretchy and on the smallish side of the size spectrum, so your child needs to be the exact right size, or size up. It is warmish, but underlayers will be necessary below 50 degrees. Best for kids who are still in diapers or really well potty trained. The head is probably going to need work to fit your child.

My 3 year old wore the head for less than a minute because it was too tight. The rest fit fine.

This costume looks decent but the 4T I ordered is way too small for my 32 lbs four year old. I tried it on my two year old and it doesn’t fit her well either given how small the abdomen section is. Not worth the money since it’s so small none of my kids can wear it.

Great quality for a Halloween costume. I honestly never have high expectations for costumes, but I was pleasantly surprised with this one. My son wore it and he looked darling. It was a hit!
