This book is gorgeous - 5 Stars!!!Amazon yet again, proves they can't deliver the one thing they really should be able to without any problems... books. I'm sure they are one of the biggest wasters of paper and books by having to pulp and destroy the many copies that get damaged due to poor and inadequate packaging before delivery.Mine arrived with dented and bent corners. As others have said, do yourself a favour and buy this from Bitmap Books direct or somwhere that won't send this large heavy book unprotexted in a flimsy card mailer.

The book itself is beautiful and well written, so as a product it deserves 5 stars, but as other reviewers have stated Amazon will send the book in a completely unpadded flat envelope and it will, in all likelihood, arrive with bulges, dents and the corners smashed in.Edit: I got a replacement from Amazon and it's even more damaged than the first one. I find is amusing that even though they started out as a bookstore, they cannot deliver a book in acceptable condition.

Great book yet ordered and returned twice because arrives damaged. Given up as there is no real chance of getting it in good condition. What a shame. The book gets 5*, the delivery 1*.

I received my copy with a damaged cover. The packaging was fine, which seems strange. It seems to me it was shipped out like that, but I can't be sure.

Book is a diamond! But please Amazon don't ship this in a paper envelope. A book of 2.5Kg can't be shipped in a paper envelope without bumps. Why ship cheap plastic items in a box and gems like these in a paper envelope...
