The mat does help, but not as much as I was hoping. First off, it's too small, Double the size would be better. Secondly, if you cat insists on kicking cat litter out of the box, there is little ANY mat can do. With this mat, half of it clumped on the mat, the rest scattered all over the floor. The best thing I did was get a cat box with high sides and use this mat. Again, not the total answer, but helps. If you have a cat that isn't insane, this mat will probably help.

I had been looking for a larger cat mat since my cats seem to make a huge mess and until i found this one they were all small and really did not do as much as I needed. The size of this allows me to cover the entire area of the litter box and since it does not leak through to the floor when either the cat or possibly the dog is peeing on it, the cleanup is much easier. I am able to just put this in the laundry room sink and rinse it off and it cleans nicely. I have an older cat she is 15 years old and the softness of this really is nice for her and I honestly couldn't be happier with the size and ease of cleaning. This really is the best cat litter mat I have found.

Four times larger than the small mat I bought at Target before adopting my two cats. So far, a HUGE improvement--far less litter getting tracked all over my bathroom. To get the initial odor out of it, I left the mat outside on the deck railing for several days to get rained on and then lots of sun . I can't smell it at all now that it's inside doing a great job.

I got this as a gift for my mother for her to cats. They seem to make a big mess with their litter boxes. So we got this it was nicely folded in a bag we opened it up it folded out nicely onto the floor. And then we put the litter box on top and notice that when the cats go to use their litter box all the excess litter that they knock out of the box goes on to the mat. So it made for very easy cleanup. Just pick it up and shook it out outside. Kind of what you would call a No Mess litter box. So easy for my elderly mother to do and clean up.

I really like the size of this mat. The one I had before was too small and my cats would jump over it. This mat they don't seem to object walking on and the excess litter from their feet is caught on the mat instead of my floor.

So glad I purchased this mat. I have two large litter boxes side by side. This mat is large enough to place in front of both boxes and catches the extra litter that the cats seem to sweep out on the floor. Easy to clean and wash. Thinking of getting second one to use as one drys as it is rubber and takes time to dry now in winter weather.

Nice large cat litter mat. Catches litter like intended. Even if my cats prefer to walk fast over it, it is large enough where it still gets it off their paws. Which ever way they go, it catches the litter great. It did lay flat as soon as I took it out of the package and did not experience any problems with bunching.

5 cats = a lot of litter! We do have a few litter boxes but the one in the bathroom is the most popular. It's also the one where tracking litter is the most problematic. This litter mat is perfect to catch and trap the litter when the cats get messy. No more litter scattered around the bathroom floor! It's also soft for their precious paws!
