It's good
This is my first time ordering macrame cord so I have nothing to compare it to.It arrived quickly, it was inside a plastic bag wrapped in tissue paper that said Ganxxet, which was nice presentation. You can run a dowel through the center of the spool and hook it up to something so you can just pull on the rope and it will come off the spindle easily which is handy.I've made a couple plant hangers with synthetic paracord or braided cord from the hardware store so that is my only frame of comparison. The ends of the cotton rope do fray very easily so I guess you either have to go with the fringe look, knot it at the ends, or tape it. With the synthetic cord I just used a lighter to melt the ends so they didn't fray.I'm not sure how I feel about the rope look, I like the look of smooth or braided cord better, but that's a personal thing. The reason I got twisted rope cord instead of single strand is because it's stronger and should be able to hold some weight (like plant pots). It seems to hold knots well comparatively, paracord is a bit more slippery with knots. Braided cord holds knots about the same or better than this cotton rope. For the 5mm rope the knots are a bit chunky to me and I'm not sure how I feel about the look.I'm trying to knot it different ways to make the knots smaller, especially when connecting multiple ropes together. Not sure if I will leave a fringe at the end when I'm done or not.I do like the moon color, it's sort of a greyish version of natural. I guess a cool toned beigeish color. The cord was surprisingly thicker than I expected. I don't know if it's thicker when it's twisted vs single strand or not. I had been told that twine is 3mm, and I was like, well even double that isn't very thick, but I'll go with 5mm. It seems thicker than the braided cord I got, which was a thickness I liked to work with. I think in the future I'll check out 4mm, not sure how much thinner it is, but I might like it better.

Nice color, good quality, nice and thick
Depending on the light, the color is quite different as you can see in the pictures. One is with flash and the other is in daylight, but overcast sky. The loose pieces are no flash laying against my jeans…they all look different. The color is lovely though and it is strong and thick. My daughter is happy with it and she will use it for macrame hanging plant holders.

Easy to macrame with
I loved working with this chord. It is very good quality, especially considering that it is recycled cotton - I'm used to recycled cotton being kind of rough and harder to work with but this chord is great. It holds knots very securely, does not come unwound, and is very sturdy while still being easy to work with.

Great for macrame
I was really impressed with this cotton cord, I liked that it is recycled old cotton. The first picture is just a close up of the cord and the second picture I pulled it apart to show you the fine threads, it's really nice. I macramed a plant holder with it and a yellow polyester cord I had and the cotton cord was much better. It did not unravel, it took the knots beautifuly and it was soft on the hands compared to other rougher cords available. I would definitely recommend this product and for the amount you get for the price, it is worth it.
