I have tried various different hair clays, Hanz de fuko, Bluemaan, Uppercut etc. All of which are good, but Apothecary87’s Clay Pomade is hands down my go-to product for medium to long hair. It strikes the balance by adding texture and volume without ever feeling greasy or heavy. The hold is medium—ideal for a clay product—so my hair has enough structure while still looking natural and having some movement, which I love.The scent is subtle but refreshing, with a hint of mango and vanilla that’s pleasant without being overpowering. It’s a versatile product, perfect for adding definition while keeping a laid-back, effortless style. This was my first experience of using a clay pomade and purchased after reading plenty of positive reviews. The tub will last a long time as only a small amount is needed. The clay pomade is harder than I expected making it a little difficult to get out of the tub. Needs a good rub in palms to generate heat to liquify before applying. It smells really nice and has great hold / finish however, it does leave my hair feeling dry after washing it out. I think this is a little overhyped and I was expecting something better given the price.

This is an oil based pomande with clay, which in itself is a bit unusual. It is more common for a water base to be used with clay, as this would help keep the matte look. However this combination works excellently for me. YMMV, but if you've always wanted a more matte look but you don't get on with water based pomades, then this could be for you.I would however advise that this is not for you if you live in anywhere with flying insects. I was out mowing the lawn, and this pomade kept attracting insects to my head. I actually had to go inside and wash it out because the amount of insects drawn to my head was unbearable. I've also been out with my children on walks around country parks and the like and the same thing has happened. It's basically the opposite of insect repellent. So I'd definitely bear that in mind when purchasing. If you're an outdoors type, I'd give it a miss. For this reason I'm giving the "scent" score one star. Also, personally, I'm not a fan of the vanilla and mango combination.

After trying about 20 different products (ranging from £3-£35) this is now my go to one. I have thick/coarse hair and this product gives a great hold and finish. I would call it ‘matt look’ but there is a very low shine which I really like. It also smells great too.I use moose head grubby putty as a prestyler on wet hair and blow dry into my prefered style, then add a small amount of this clay pomeade to get the final look and hold. Tip: Rub it vigorously in your palms to warm it up and until you cant see any product, then apply gently working back to front.Being oil based it holds all day, however, it does mean it requires a good wash with decent shampoo to get it fully out of your hair.At this price it’s a bargain, and because it requires less than a pea sized amount (on hair 3-4 inches long) it lasts for ages.

I got this stuff as a one off tester instead of my normal brand and I’m so glad I did! A small piece in the palm of your hand will do, it smells amazing and will lay all day. Make sure you rub your hands together to generate some heat and it will cover your palms easily.

Thought I'd try something slightly different and gave it a go, wasn't really worth the effort to be honest. When emulsifying the product in my hands, all it did was make my hands feel incredibly hot while remaining as a solid lump. Attempted to rectify this by adding a small amount of sea salt spray to the product while emulsifying, then it just slipped out of my hands entirely. The smell is alright, but seeing as it's most useful as a candle, rather than a hair product, I'd get something else next time.

Smells great and keeps my hair styled.

Bought this a while ago but never used it since it has been delivered. After a couple of months sitting in a cool dry cupboard, I decided to give it a try. It's hard. Concrete hard. Unable to use. Also, a lot of reviews said the product smells good etc. They're either fake reviews or these people need to get themselves to an Ears, Nose and Throat hospital and get their noses checked out. Unfortunately, I can't return it now as I've had it for too long now. Will use it as a door stop.

Does the job but there are far better clays out there.Clays should be matte/natural. This clay gives a greasy/shine look. Never got the mango vanilla scent either.Cavalier Clay by Bluuman and Baxter of California Clay Pomade are much better options.

Very waxy for a hair clay. Has great hold and adds tons of texture. The mango and vanilla scent is also great. If I could compare this to anything, it's a lot like Baxter Of California clay pomade, but seems to have a little more hold.

Pessima... La cera è arrivata nei tempi stabiliti ma, è dura e non profuma praticamente inutilizzabile.

Super halt und einmaliger Duft. Aber bei dem Produkt gilt: weniger ist mehr. Wenn man zu viel nimmt, sieht das Haar fettig aus. Deshalb braucht und sollte man nur sehr wenig nutzen. Eine erbsengroße Portion reicht aus für eine Kurzhaarfrisur.
