They Walked with God: 40 Bible Characters Who Inspire Us

This is an excellent book! Each Bible character/section is about 4-6 pages, nice sized print, with some added commentary from Max Lucado. I look forward to reading one or two sections each morning. There are also a few questions at the end of each section for the reader to jot down notes too. I’m learning so much!

Enjoyable Reading.

I used this book as a daily reflection. It became very meaningful as I progressed through the different readings. Great book to reflect and consider God and Jesus.

I enjoyed every story, and the opportunity to relate in my own words at the end of each. Lots of thoughtful questions to challenge me and grow my faith as I thought and pondered.

I love this book! As always, Max helps you relate to Bible times people. Even though you may be familiar with many of the people he features, Max always seems to give you an insight - something you never thought of before and shows you how the Bible applies to everyday, modern life!

I like the way each chapter is named for a particular character. Makes it a handy reference to have on hand. Besides, each chapter is short, so it makes it fit into my schedule.

This book came highly recommended, and I definitely agree with them. It is a great book. My Bible Study at my church is going to use this to study characters from the Bible, for our Bible study. I can't wait to begin.

Max Lucado did a masterful job of bringing the 40 Bible characters alive in ways that will truly inspire you. I very rarely read a book more than once. But I will read this book again and again. Life changing truths communicated in relatable and impactful ways. I was sorry to see it end.

I have the hard backed copy, and it is such a beautiful book, with a ribbon marker. I have found that our beloved Shepherd speaks to my heart through its pages, and it is an absolute blessing to read.

Bought this book a couple of months ago it is beautiful as it gives in depth storytelling about the Bible characters. Love it.

This book is Max Lucado at his best. Incredible insights. Great to have some questions at the end of each chapter to challenge. Familiar stories but with new understanding.
