Very Good BD-Rs
This would probably be my 5th purchase of these Optical Quantum BD-R's.I've only purchased the 'logo top' version, as I prefer to write my own label on the disc rather that print the label. They are very good good for the money I paid, and have been very reliable....even for discs that I've burned over 2 years ago.I use Pioneer brand Blu-ray burners (BDR-209D & 212D) and have very rarely if any, gotten a bad burn or failure. For the price and quality, I'd buy them again.

My go to recordable blu-rays!
I have been using the Optical Quantum brand for years - both the single and dual layer versions. These have never failed me. I have bought hundreds of these and never had an issue or a coaster. The issue that I did face were software related but never the discs. Yes, there are other brands out there but so much more expensive so these are great value for the money and are high quality in my opinion. They work great with our LG Blu-Ray drives.

Good discs but don't use them for long term storage
I've used literally over 5000 of these BD-25s and BD50s for backup purposes at work. What I've learned will hopefully save someone out there a lot of headache and/or heartache over data loss. These discs, and all discs (except M-Discs), are NOT meant for long term storage. They use a partially organic dye that WILL begin to erode over time, corrupting the disc and losing all of the data stored on it. You can write the disc, place the disc in a case, put in on a bookshelf and never use it again and it will still fail eventually. Others have posted photos of what this looks like in their reviews so I'm not going to. The point to learn here is DON'T store ANYTHING that you don't want to lose on a disc (except M-Disc).These come with two different types of dye. There's one that's a blue/purple color and another that's gold in color. What you want is the gold. Those last A LOT longer than the blue/purple dye. The problem is you never know what type you're going to get. I've had the blue/purple dyed discs begin to erode in just a couple of months of no use. I have yet to have a gold dyed one fail and many are over 10 years old but I know it will still happen eventually. The BD-50s are more likely to have gold dye than the BD-25s.For what they're meant for, short term storage, they work great. Just don't use them for long term storage because you will lose everything you have saved. It's just a matter of time.

5 disks burned so Far - No Coasters
Cheap blank discs tend to make more coasters than serve as reliable storage devices for important files. I tend to import and buy the more expensive discs from Japan because I don't have time to find out I have had a bad burn. These discs are a good value cost-wise and I have had no coasters on my first 5 burns. There are 20 more blanks to try on this spindle. I hope to re-order this brand if I make it through the spindle with no coasters.I don't know about longevity. I have never had a disc of any brand that failed after a good burn. I have discs I burned 20 years ago that won't read on my newer reader, but the discs still work on my oldest readers. If I remember, I will update this review in 20 years. (haha)For print quality, the top surface is a bit shinier than the expensive brand disc, thus making it slightly harder to label with a sharpie pen. But the marks are readable and tend not to rub off.

Great affordable bluray media, reliable thus far!
As a new owner of a Blu-ray burner to be used exclusively for archiving data, I've been looking into the best types of media. Many sources states the Verbatim disks available here are a sure bet: Verbatim BD-R 25GB 6X with Branded Surface - 25pk Spindle 97457 I purchased those first, tried them out, and I do like them. But with a recent significant price cut on the 50-pack spindle of the Optical Quantum, I had to give them a try. Sorting through the many reviews though is tricky. Here are all the facts of my setup (I think all these facts matter when you're trying to figure out if it's a hardware, media, or user error issue):My media was purchased on 5/27/17 and arrived 5/29/17. The burnable side is a grey/gold color. The media ID on these is OTCBDR-002-000. That's the same as the Plexdisc available here: PlexDisc 633-214 25 GB 6x Blu-ray White Inkjet Printable Single Layer Recordable Disc BD-R, 50-Disc Spindle though those have an InkJet printable front surface. The non-burnable surface of these is a goldish grey with a somewhat matte finish.Looking at the Blu-ray Disc Association License office website, these are made by Amethystum Storage Technology Co., Ltd. Looks like a Chinese company? The disks are HTL.My burner is a LG WH16NS40, which I purchased earlier this month. It is on the latest 1.02 firmware, as my burner is the NS50 revision (though the model # does not reflect that). My burning software is the excellent freeware program Imgburn v2.5.8.0.If you search the Myce forums for the media ID, you find some folks reporting they don't burn very well at the rated 6x. However, since receiving the Optical Quantum disks, I have burnt and verified 9 disks without issue. I intend to go back and do a random check of the data soon to ensure the burn lasts.I have used only the 6x speed, as that's what they're rated for. It takes ~16+minutes to burn 25gbs. I then use ImgBurn's verify after each burn, which takes another 14 minutes. So far, I have not had any errors. The 'verify' technique on ImgBurn compares the written data to the source data, so I do trust it. (To be completely transparent, the author of the software has stated that if it passes this verify, it means that the data matches, in that drive, and is readable, at that time--for sure, media can degrade). With Amazon's excellent return policy, I had no qualms about giving these a try, and so far I'm quite satisfied.

Blu-Ray Disk
When I got my burner last year - I tested a few different brands and had no luck. Nothing would burn fast and when I tested them for errors I would always get errors. Well I was forced to LTH discs ( I should have reviews on those also), but got sick of the prices. So I bought 25 of these and figured if they didn't work I would just give them to a friend and let him suffer. I'm a photographer and often my shoots are 50 to 90 gigs or more, so I can use a lot of blu-ray disc. Well these are the first ones I have really liked that are not LTH or name brand. They really work great and so far they all verify the data perfectly - they really are great disc.

Good quality for an excellent price, & you can't argue with that!
I have always bought my blank blu-ray recordable discs from certain stores & always thought they were a bit pricey. So I was very surprised to be able to buy a spindle of 50 for such a reasonable price! I used to buy packs of 25 & paid roughly the same price as the one by optical quantum. What I like about blu-ray discs is the amount of data you can store on them compared to the dvds. Picture quality is outstanding, depending of course on which setting you record & transfer the recordings. Obviously, the better the recording mode the more storage space you use up. I do a lot of mine in HG, but still find I can record a fair bit on them. Hey, everyone has their own preference & I like to watch mine in high definition! I think these discs are excellent value for money, & I know I will be getting more when the current ones run out!

Optical Quantum Blu-Ray Recordable Blank Media
I was delighted with the product and have been able to back up all the blu ray movies that I tried. All my back ups were successful and I did not have to discard a single disc so far.
