I used this to grind ham and followed the directions, it worked well. I selected this because I am familiar with their brand. I have their pasta set and it is perfect. It was easy to use and fairly quick but it took a little while to get the final bit out. It was easy to clean too.

This came in and I got strait to the first clean. I made a large batch of maple brown sugar breakfast sausage as soon as I could. First grind on day one and second grind the fallowing morning, Best tip is to put the unit in the freezer for about an hour first as it helps keep the meat cold during the grind.The final sausage came out great and this unit works so well compared to my og kitchenaid branded one. I am sure I can now use larger chunks and don't need to double grind my pork. Cleanup is easy but I would say make sure to get a separate soft bottle brush for cleaning the grinder.The only cons I can see are that the tray could use higher walls, this issue is there for all the stand mixer attachment grinders I have seen, and the food pusher stick could use to me just a few mm longer and needs to have more weight to it.I like this unit so much that I would consider getting a second one as I tend to grind multiple kinds of meat all in the same day and having 2 would allow me to have one clean and ready to go as I switch from one meat to the next.

I bought this on a whim, as I always wanted to have one to grind my own meats. This was so easy to assemble easy to clean up easy to use. I am sending one to my daughter for a Christmas present as she also wants to make her own homemade meats this is great for frozen meat just as the directions say, cut it into 1 inch cubes frozen or fresh Put a few pieces in push it down with the plunger make sure your mixer is on medium for five and watch ago it is easy so easy to clean up hand wash only which is excellent for longer use of the product. Love it love it love it.

First off, I was skeptical of the product because the sausage tubes were stuck together and it was a struggle to separate them. Once apart, and I looked at the rest of the item I became very very impressed at the quality. The fit into the off brand mixer was perfect. The mirror finish is impressive. The accessories are spot on. After first use, I will update my review. With this quality, it makes no sense to buy plastic. Plastic units seem to have an inherent problem of cracking which could potentially harbor germs. Only disappointment is there is no info on box or instructions as to where it is made or if any help is available to consumer. Well worth the price. What a nightmare. If you want to grind meat, it works just fine. If you want to stuff sausages, take a pass, or buy a different tool.The plunger is too narrow and shallow for the hole. This means it creates a suction and gets stuck in the tube every time you press it in. It also leaves about an inch of meat at the bottom that doesn't get pushed through. Add to that the fact that it is two pieces, and pulls apart when it gets stuck every single time.Speaking of two pieces, the meat tray is separate from the grinder. This results in meat mushrooming out of the top of the grinder/bottom of the meat tray when you're trying to push it down.These two issues made my first sausage making effort a total drag. It got the job done, but not without covering my kitchen with raw meat and a whole lot of swearing.Save yourself some sausage effort, buy a sausage stuffer and a meat grinder.

This product is great, I used it to make beef burgers, it’s easy to use, clean and easy to clean,great product and value for your money
