Soldering is better, but these offer ease of use and speed.
These lug connectors will make it easy to wire up to your head unit with basic tools. It would be better to side of the wires together and use some heat shrink wrap around your solder connection, but this gives you the advantage of speed and if you are not good with a soldering iron or in a very tight area. The quality is fine it is fully functional and the fit of the connection was perfect. If you're not into cutting wires and soldering, this is the adapter for you.

Perfect fit in 2000 Civic
Don’t cut your factory harness, just use this. And like $2 more to already have the connectors on it was perfect for me. Made the installation faster and easier.

This made my life SO SIMPLE!
I just installed a JVC Single DIN head unit in my 2005 Honda. In order to make it VERY simple, I got the Scosche adaptor. Some worry about the connectors. All but one of mine made solid, sound connections to the wiring. I squeezed too hard with proper butt connector pliars and it cut right through the provided connector....so be gentle. It's easier than it looks! I simply cut it out and replaced it with a spare butt splice thing I had from another project. Without this wiring/plug adaptor, my life would have been much more difficult today. Instead of messing with solder or shrink tubing or any of that, I'm listening to my new radio. In a car, this is all you need. in a wet or outside activity environment, I'd probably solder and use shrink tube to insulate -- but you don't need that behind the dashboard of a car. Thanks, Schosche!

Perfect
I just finished using this on a 2000 Honda Accord Sedan and it went perfectly. It really made everything easy. The colors matched perfectly with the wireless Android auto radio I installed. Completely plug and play. It's nice that it comes with the crimp connectors. The only problem I had was that the power wire (red) wasn't completely pushed all the way in the plug. Easily fixed.. just pushed it all the way in.

It worked!
Was a little tight but snapped together just like it was supposed to. Worked very well with the radio that I bought.
