Has all the essentials.
This mobo was exactly what I needed to replace a broken board. I used an i7-8700 CPU, RX 6600 GPU, and 16GB DDR4 RAM, and it works great. The H370 chipset was fine, since my CPU has no overclocking. The four SATA ports let me hook up a couple SSDs. I didn't really miss not having an M.2 connection. As others have noted, there is no RGB headers. I added a RGB controller with remote to my rig just for fun, and under ten bucks. Aside from the x16 GPU slot, there is only one x1 PCIe lane, which is somewhat limiting. I used it to add a WiFi 6 adapter. You just need to plan how to use these slots. It worked as soon as I turned it on. I note some reviews have had problems with the used version of this board. I bought the new version and have been very pleased. The ASRock software worked well. Like the board, it has the essentials, but not a lot extra. I used it to adjust the fan curves, but didn't fiddle with much else. It's a budget board, but has all the essential things you need. It just works.

Awesome motherboard. Issue with Ram RGB.
Love the motherboard! Only one complaint though which it’s might be on me. The ram RBG lights somehow got disabled when I turned up the ram speed in BIOS. To fix it I downloaded SignalRgb and now it works. Build is as follows: Motherboard is ASRock H370M-HDV, Case Zalman VRLA LEGACY ATX Mid-Tower Gaming PC Case, CPU i7-9700, GPU ASRock Radeon RX 6600 XT Challenger D OC 8GB GDDR6, Ram G.Skill TridentZ Neo 64GB (2x32GB) DDR4 2666, PSU AGV Series 650W Power Supply, 80 Plus Bronze Certified, PCI-E X1 to SATA 3.0 Controller Card, 2-Port SATA III 6Gbps Expansion Cards, Supports PCI-Express (1X 4X 8X 16X) Slot, PCI-E X1 to SATA 3.0 Controller Card, 2-Port SATA III 6Gbps Expansion Cards, Supports PCI-Express (1X 4X 8X 16X) Slot, Non Modular Power Supply, CPU Cooler Vetroo Shadow Low-Profile CPU Cooler, 90mm Addressable RGB & PWM Fan, Zalman IF120 Infinity Mirror ARGB 120mm Case Fans, Silent 3-Pin Addressable RGB Fans for Computer Case & Liquid Radiator, 1200RPM Smooth and Silent Fans, 55.2 CFM, ARGB Controller Included (3 Pack), Premium Aluminum Fins 95W TDP Air Cooler for Intel LGA 1200/115X, two random case fans I found, and 4 different SSDs.

great budget board
Wowza! this was a great budget board purchase! I lost rgb led lighting for my fans, and some hookup functionality that came with my motherboard for headphone jacks on the top, but other than that, it was worth it. I might update my review in the future if anything else happens.

Buy from somewhere else
3-3-25 Update: One thing I did not mention is that the board arrived without a anti-static bag, driver cd, and CPU cover. I did not think anything of it until a few days ago when my computer stopped booting. I discovered after testing the other components on a different motherboard that this motherboard shorted out my cpu. So now I need to buy a new CPU, and the one I had was a i9, so Im really bummed out. Amazon will not compensate for the i9, so all I can say is be cautious when you buy a cheap motherboard from Amazon. I was given a 9th gen i9 to test out and just needed the most basic of motherboards. This was the cheapest option for new name brand 1151 compatible. I realize 2025 is late in the game for this processer, however every other option was for a no name Chinese board that all had horrible ratings or no rating at all. This ASRock board has just enough space for all the main components. There is only one case fan header, so you will need a splitter if you have more than one case fan. I was able to fit a full size 3060, 32gb ram, a large heat sync, and 4 data drives. There is only one pcie slot, and considering the main board only has 2 USB 3.0 ports, you might want to get a pcie USB expansion card. So far it has been working great and this is by far the best new option for a 8th, or 9th gen processor.

Great motherboard
This motherboard is great. It is super easy to install and it fits perfectly into my case. Definitely worth the purchase.

Definite Budget Board
Backstory - I received a salvaged Alienware desktop PC. Had an i5 8400, 32gb of RAM, & GTX 1070 that were good. Board and PSU were bad. Was going to use them to build a system for my wife. Upon searching for new and in-stock boards, I didn't find much. This was the best option for me, so I took it. Honestly, this board isn't amazing. It's not very feature rich. No onboard m.2, i/o isn't amazing, no rgb header (even my business class board I own has an rgb header), limited fan headers....I can honestly go on. But it was the only thing I could find. Anyways....the board is definitely on the small side, even for mATX, or at least I think it is compared to some of the other mATX boards I've used. It has at least enough SATA ports and a USB 3.x (too unbothered to find out which version) header for the case we chose for this build. Has dinosaur/Mesozoic era i/o ports (VGA, DVI, PS/2...yikes) ports on the back, along with only 2 USB 3.x and 4 USB 2.0 ports. Oh, and a whopping 2 RAM DIMMs. For a H370 board, this seems bottom of the barrel. Probably why they're still in stock. But eh, I digress. It handles the i5 8400 and GTX 1070 just fine. RAM works, and outside of the lack of features, it'll serve its purpose and my wife can play her (limited) number of games she likes to play. So at least that's a positive.
