Summer Outdoor Boonie Hunting Fishing Safari Bucket Sun Hat with Adjustable Strap

This hat fit me just perfectly, as if I had been fitted for one with by expert, which, of course, was just plain good luck. My head measures about an even 24inches where I wear the hat. (Self-measured) When I put it on, the hat is juuust snug enough to keep it on my head with little to no adjustment while on my photo walks. I love this hat. I generally wear it with both sides pinned up while out on photographic excursions with my camera. I like the cover over my eyes and back of my neck. On days where the Florida sun seems to have dipped closer to the earth to bug me personally, I pull down the sides get the heat off my ears. I cut off the string immediately after receiving the hat, too much conflict with camera and camera bag straps. The hat is light enough to be relatively cool for a hat on hot, humid days, but just enough stiffness in the material that the part on top doesn't collapse onto my noggin. I bought this hat awhile back to wear as a Halloween costume, and I found myself using it for more than just the costume. Its super light weight, durable, and its fairly stylish. I've always wanted a little boonie hat for fishing too, so it worked out perfectly. One thing to mention was that it was kind of creased when I first got it, but after wearing it to shape it better it looks great!

Love this hat. Very well made, with the rip stop and love the side snaps. I wear it all the time and would live to order another one but this one is going to last too long. So, since I wrote the above, I ordered two more hats. What I’ve discovered is that each hat seems to vary slightly in size, depending on the material. The most different is the cotton hat which is much larger, harder to keep shaped and “floppier”. I would not recommend one of those. The camo hats, with a poly blend, seem much more consistent and durable. The cotton hats are like wearing a towel wrapped on your head. Because of this, I docked the hats a star. I still like the camo hats but even they vary in size from pattern to pattern. The digi-camo fits me perfectly while the old-school camo is much tighter.

Bought a bunch of different types of sun hats to give away.

Bought two, one in woodland and other in digital gray camo. Camo helps in getting closer to birds for photography. Brim shades eyes and ears from sun, but is sufficiently floppy to get outta the way when pulling a DSLR viewfinder to the eyes, unlike a baseball cap. Quality of the stitching, reinforcements, brass snaps and vents are very good. My only concern is potential fraying of the chin strap by the adjustable lock; on the other hand, the strap is pretty beefy, so it should last a good while.

School started soccer started and of course there's heat. Game sitting in bleachers in the sun is no fun. This hat is perfect. It's our school color keeps my head from being burned and helps deflect some of that heat. It's comfortable wash as well I like it

I actually love this cover/hat. Yes, it's kind of cheap and the chin strap is a little cheesy, but it's lightweight, fits perfect, is very comfortable and actually looks really nice. The brim is big enough to protect pretty well from the sun, but not so big to be floppy. Being able to snap up the sides also makes it comfortable to wear under my ear protection when at the range.

Let me start by saying, if I had only bought this hat, I would've thought, "silly me"; however, I bought an additional hat in a different color for my vacation. The other hat fits great. Nice fabric, nice fit, just as I had expected. This hat is the same, except the brim is more than 1" longer than the other hat. So I guess it has better sun protection? I know it sounds minimal, but its dificult to see out of, and I'm 6'. Just disappointed it wasn't made exactly like the woodland one I bought, because that one is perfect.

Wonderful quality, comfortable inner headband and a perfect fit. Made in Myanmar (Burma) of sturdy 100% cotton. Reinforced stitching all around, screened vent holes and side snaps makes this hat durable, functional and great looking. The thick, braided cord along with its slide/lock clasp is a useful feature.

Nice hat but found sizing large. I have a 22.75in head with short hair and the hat was just loose. Gonna give it a shrink in the laundry. I'm not convinced a smaller size would have been better, its on the edge.

Great quality and good fit. With snaps on the side you have a few options…floppy hat, Aussie style with one side up or cowboy style.

I wasn't sure what to expect, I was hoping for something like a Tilley hat without the price. It isn't as structured as a Tilley hat, but I think the colour, fit, and slightly less structure is fine. I have been using it for gardening and have really been loving it, even a few compliments/asks where I got it.
