JINHAO X450 Fountain Pen M Nib (Red Ice)

Extremely good price for the quality of the pen. Its weight and finishing makes it feel like a £500 pen. Writes smoothly and has no inking problems. The photos of the product are accurate.

Having used a fountain pen regularly since primary school, I do believe that I'm qualified to pass an opinion and I'm really impressed with the quality of this pen. There's an old adage 'If it looks to be too good to be true then it probably is' but this pen not only looks good but performs well too. Just look at the price and compare it with a Cross Townsend black lacquer fountain pen...Having used Sheaffer, Cross and Parker fountain pens in the past, I know that you're not always guaranteed to get a perfect nib but I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was no scratchiness with this pen's nib unit and the ink flow is really good from a standard universal cartridge - and you can buy a pack of universal cartridges from any stationers. I'm using Helix Oxford cartridges at the moment which you can buy through Amazon and they are reasonably priced.This fountain pen is extraordinarily good value and I'd have no hesitation in recommending it to a prospective buyer.

The pen had a glossy finish and print. The ink pump built into the pen was very easy to use and worked well despite me never using one before. Writing with the pen felt smooth and looked very professional.The only downside was that it was delivered in a clear plastic poly bag that made it look cheap. If it was delivered in a pen box or gift box it would be receiving 5 stars.

Okay, i really was not expecting this. For under a tenner, a fountain pen.I have not used one in years but have not put it down since i bought it (over 2 months ago now I think). In Fact I recommended it to a friend and she also bought one. She is a big ink pen user and said its fine, nothing compared to her daily writer but also likes hers.For me it doesn't leak, writes really well, looks awesome, is easy to refill, in other words, does what it says on the tin. It does sometimes dry out if I leave the cap off for a while but Im not educated enough to say if this is a pen issue, an ink issue or a general issue with all ink pens. I do love writing with it. There has been no change to the body (chipping, cracking, rusting) at all but to be fair i am careful with it. It does sometimes feel gritty when writing but i still have not put it down.I wanted to buy a second one but why? if anyone can think of a reason let me know. I would buy another if I lost it or broke it somehow.Was it worth it, absolutely. Only moan was it arrived in a plastic bag in the large amazon box so I was lucky i guess. If you want it as a present for someone, you need to get a box. Also it looks way more expensive up close also. FYI I see some people had bad luck with twisted or misaligned tips, thats a risk worth considering, I have not had that issue.

This is a really lovely pen to write with. A nice weight to it and a beautiful finish. I didn’t have very high expectations but it has surpassed anything I could have imagined for the price. Highly recommend.

It was a great pen when I tested it. However the pens nib is supposed to come out, I tried taking it out with brute force, with pliers, with clamps, with hot tap water, with boiled water and then all the possible combinations of 2 from the above but it would not budge! It was friction fit so tightly it actually broke! Even after the feed broke off the nib still wouldn't come out.. lol. The nib is very smooth and wet though and it also has a decent amount of flex and line variation. The pen body looks very premium and expensive and is actually quite heavy in the hand for something so cheap. 10/10 if you just want a fountain pen but don't buy if your planning to switch out the nib.

This is a beautiful pen and I love the luscious red/gold pattern on it. Writes well. Would recommend

Ink does not flow - useless

hier passen Federstärke und Tintenleiter zusammen. Es wird immer ausreichend Tinte geliefert, sodaß ein flüssiges Schreiben ohne Abriss des Tintenstroms möglich ist. Ausserdem fühlt sich der Füller sehr wertig an: ziemlich schwer mit ergenomischer Griffzone und guter Verarbeitung. Auch die Kappe benötigt nicht zuviel und nicht zu wenig Kraft beim Abziehen bzw. Aufschieben. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist der Clip, der nur aus einem geprägten Blech besteht.

Alle Erwartungen übertroffen. Für diesen kleinen Preis habe ich einen Füller der gut schreibt, ohne Aussetzer oder Kratzen, und auch noch gut aussieht.Der Füller fühlt sich durch sein Gewicht wertig an. Allerdings kann es sein, dass er zu schwer ist um länger damit zu schreiben. Für meine Zwecke (Tagebucheinträge, Briefe, etc.) jedoch ohne Probleme. Satter Tintenfluss.Ein Konverter ist mit dabei.Insgesamt ein richtiger Hingucker meiner Sammlung, der aber auch gut schreibt und günstig noch dazu.

Wie der Preis, so die Qualität.
