Great practice ball for setters!!
I am a coach and this ball is great for building setter strength in fingers, hands and wrists. Recommend for all setters!!

A big help to my setter
When I first got this, I thought it might be too heavy for my 12 year old. It was a little bit of a struggle at first but as she continues to practice with it on a daily basis, it has definitely helped in her overall strength. I feel this was a great investment!

Every Setter Should Have This Volleyball
I have two daughters who play volleyball. Recently they were told to purchase a setters vball to help improve their settings skills. I looked around and decided to purchase the Tachikara Weighted vball. There is quite a noticeable difference between the weight of this vball versus a regulation one. The girls have been using it almost daily and love the results. Within a month of use their fingers and arms have become quite a bit stronger. The ball itself has a good feel to it. In fact it does not feel cheap at all. I am sure this ball will last for many years, which is good as I have two more daughters who will most likely play the sport.I do have one complaint and it is not the manufacturer's fault but Amazon's shipping. The ball was sent to us slightly deflated and stuffed in a box. Because of this two sides of the vball have circular lines permanently in the ball. We actually requested Amazon to ship us a new one and we sent the old one back. Again, we received a ball stuffed in a box with circular lines in the leather. Inflating and time does not remove them either. I am giving the ball five stars because it is a great vball. I would give Amazon and how they shipped the volleyball 0 stars if I could. I have included photos so you can see for yourself the lines which are permanently indented into the ball.I would recommend this ball for any setter, or even a vball player in general, as it is a great tool to increase the strength of the player. I am not sure though if Amazon is the seller to purchase it from as they should ship it fully inflated.Again, this is a great volleyball for anyone who wishes to improve in setting.

Does the job
My daughter wanted to work on strengthening her fingers. We have been using this ball while she can’t get to practices. It is just heavy enough to help her get more power and make sure she is using both hands evenly. We are a huge difference when we switch this ball out for a regular volleyball. Her friend has a weighted volleyball from a different brand - it is hard and hurts her fingers. We like this ball because even though it is heavy the surface is soft and easy to set.

Great for Setters
This is the perfect ball for setting practice. It’s just heavy enough to help setter perfect higher sets.PS—Can we address something on almost every volleyball review? Basically, NFHS, USAV, and NCAA require balls to be between 4.3 psi and 4.6. While that number drops for beach volleyballs, it doesn’t really matter. As a referee, I have never measured the PSI of any ball that met the required specifications before a match. Most balls lose pressure. Some balls gain pressure if exposed to extreme heat. The most common complaint I read in reviews is that a ball didn’t come inflated. The idea that a ball will should come inflated is ridiculous, especially when it comes to meeting the required specifications of inflation. Buy a cheap pump and meter. You’ll need it—even if your ball comes inflated to the correct pressure. While I have received maybe one ball out of hundreds that was warped once inflated, that was an anomaly. Expecting a volleyball you ordered through the mail be inflated to its specifications is like ordering an above-ground-pool kit you expect to come filled with water.

Great for Building Muscle and Stamina
I have a 13 year old daughter who plays school volleyball and club volleyball and is a setter. This weighted ball is great for at-home workouts to help her build muscle and stamina in her arms for setting. Like others, I took off a star because the ball comes deflated and shows lines/grooves where the ball is folded up for shipping. I'm not sure whey the company doesn't just inflate them and ship them that way so that your brand new ball looks brand new.

I had one as a new player in the 90s. Now I'm using this with my setters as a coach.

Producto defectuoso?
The media could not be loaded.
