Magic Lube is a great product that ensures pool O-rings seal properly and last as long as possible. I've been using Magic Lube for years on pool pumps and associated pool equipment without any problems or issues. After a year or more of operation and exposure to pool chemicals, some remnants of Magic Lube are always left over on the O-rings, which adds to my confidence in its ability to seal and preserve. I'm confident that Magic Lube helps prevent leaks because, before I started using It, pool O-rings would frequently leak after reassembly. However, after I started using Magic Lube, I almost never have any leak issues. I bought this tube on Amazon because I didn't have any on hand and knew that I needed it before pool season is in full swing. This stuff is awesome! If you're maintaining pool equipment, you need this.

Works as expected

I use this stuff on all moving parts involving plumbing. I think it's intended to be used for pool applications where some of the fittings are temporary. AML makes sure the fittings don't leak despite being connected without PVC glue so you can disassemble and reassemble. I think it's also intended to be used to prevent rubber gaskets from rotting, but it's great for all sorts of other water related and plumbing applications. Whenever I have a rubber o-ring I'm about to install, I always add a little dab of this stuff and massage it in. It also works well to revive o-rings which are worn out and regain a hydrophobic seal. I used it recently on a dried out and worn down o-ring on my pressure washer gun's quick connect fitting which was leaking like crazy - after lubricating with this stuff, the leak stopped and I was able to finish the job. AML is very sticky and can gather dirt, so don't put it on the end of your hose which could end up in the dirt, but do put it on the rubber fitting on the hose bib - no need for Teflon tape after you add this to the rubber washer inside. I also have the Delta style bath valves which are basically a rotating cylinder with a drilled out path which allows water to pass through when turned; mine were always dripping when closed off until I added some Aladdin Magic Lube -stopped the leak. Neat stuff. Name sounds like personal lubricant, but you'd be in a world of hurt if you used it for personal lubricant.

I bought this to lubricate the seals on my pool filter. Works great for that but be aware that is hard to get off your skin (or anything else it gets on). Next time I'll wear plastic gloves. I accidentally bought two and one tube is plenty big enough for multiple applications.

Have used this for years. Don't use wd40 or spray on your o rings for the pool. Use this lubricant. If you have one of those tought cartridge filter/ Pentair clean and clear, you definitely should slather this on the ring before the top goes on. I mean slather!! You will be happily surprised that you can place it so easily. And the oring in your pump bucket lid.

Works good and the price is better than most.
